MAINMANKASH brings the strongest recent form into this and has won three of his last five starts, including a strong return when third at his latest appearance. He carries 62kg but gets a favourable barrier five and looks capable of taking another step forward.
FOXENBERG resumes off a spell with Luke Currie aboard and has shown enough in his previous preparation, while TOWER BRIDGE and ROYAL RENDEZVOUS are other genuine chances.
Mainmankash is the one for me.

ALLINTHETIMING brings a consistent record to this contest and looks well placed back in this grade, having won three of his 11 starts and placed in another five, with his form largely coming on good ground.
He does have to lump 63kg, but the inside barrier is a plus and his previous form around the 1200-1400m range suggests he should be competitive, while MIDNIGHT DEVIL, ILLUMINACE and SMART LITTLE MISS look to be key dangers.
I’m siding with Allinthetiming on top.

LOFTY THOUGHTS has been racing consistently since returning from a break and looks ready to win after finishing runner up at his past two starts.
The 60.5kg is the knock, but he draws reasonably and has the form to give this a shake, while EARTHING, BELCONY and ANGLAND LASSall bring enough upside to keep him honest.
Lofty Thoughts goes on top for me.

PLACENTIA BAY looks a strong chance to return to the winner’s list after resuming with a solid second, having previously shown enough ability to make his presence felt in this grade.
He draws well in barrier four and should strip fitter for that first-up effort, while BANK HEIST and AUTO MAX bring winning form into the race and JEWEL BAY is capable of improving with the claim.
With natural improvement, I’m keen to be with Placentia Bay.
