EPL Gameweek 2 2026: Tips & Predictions

We expected better from Crystal Palace last week when losing 2-0 to Everton, and it doesn’t get any easier when coming up against Manchester City to kick off EPL Gameweek 2.

It was business as usual for City, who scored a 2-1 win over Bournemouth, and although it wasn’t the best performance we’ve seen from them, a repeat of that effort should be enough to get past Palace on the road.

Punters get $2.38 for Man City to lead at halftime and fulltime, and that’s a value price for a team paying $1.60 to win outright.

There wasn’t much to get excited about for either team in Gameweek 1. Liverpool had a 2-2 draw against Newcastle, and they entered that game expecting the maximum points.

Nottingham Forest suffered a 1-0 loss to Leeds, which wasn’t a strong start to their season. Not scoring a goal isn’t ideal, but they should bounce back with a goal against Liverpool, who didn’t defend well last week.

Both teams to score pays $1.73, and we have Liverpool winning 2-1, which is enough to cash this bet.

The Premier League couldn’t have started better for Hull City, who scored a 2-0 shock win over Manchester United.

They’ll look to ride that momentum against Coventry City, who didn’t fire in a 3-0 loss to Arsenal, and we can’t justify backing them at $1.85 to win. They’ll find this game easier, but beating Hull City with the wind in their sails won’t be easy.

We’re taking the better value for Hull City at $4.10, and public support is likely to come for The Tigers later in the week.

Six of Bournemouth’s last seven home games have resulted in a draw, and the $3.50 odds are too generous to ignore.

They look to rebound following a loss in the opening round, and it won’t be easy to beat Everton coming off a 2-0 win. However, punters should expect better from Bournemouth, and they should do enough to hold on for a draw.

The current odds are generous, and we’re picking a 0-0 or 1-1 tie.

It was a rough start to the EPL for Tottenham, who suffered a big loss to Brentford. We can’t see them turning things around quickly enough to beat Newcastle, who looked good when drawing against Liverpool.

Tottenham opened at $1.80, which was too short, and although punters get better odds now, we can’t include them in our EPL Gameweek 2 predictions. We don’t trust them enough to win, so Newcastle is a better punting option.

The $3 odds are generous, and the result could add fuel to the fire at Tottenham.

Our EPL tips this week have Brentford winning at $2.65, which is a good price considering how dominant they were in the opening week against Tottenham, and although Leeds also looked good when beating Nottingham Forest, it wasn’t as dominant.

Winning on the road will be the big test for Brentford, but momentum is on their side, so take the current odds.

It wasn’t the start to the season Sunderland had hoped for after losing to Ipswich Town, but we predict a much better effort this week against Fulham.

They couldn’t get much going on attack, but with Fulham’s defence looking shaky against Chelsea, there should be goals on offer this week.

A close game is expected, but Sunderland could edge away with a goal in the second half to secure the home victory.

Chelsea did enough to beat Fulham last week, and although it wasn’t a commanding performance, they should derive some confidence from the result.

Brighton & Hove scored a 4-0 win over Aston Villa, so their confidence levels are high. They should come to Stamford Bridge brimming full of confidence, and it could be enough to come away with a draw.

There are concerns about Chelsea’s goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, who had a nightmare performance against Fulham, so Brighton & Hove could take advantage with an early goal before settling for a draw.

Our EPL best bets include Manchester United -1, as we predict them bouncing back from a poor loss last week.

United fell 2-0 to Hull City, which was a poor result, but facing Ipswich Town could be a remedy for success, and the odds for a win are in the short range at $1.42.

There is better value with handicap markets, so take the $2.10 odds for United to win by two goals.

We’re taking the “easy money” and included Arsenal to win against Aston Villa.

The defending champions cruised past Coventry City in the first week, and with Aston Villa losing 4-0 to Brighton, it’s tough to find any reason to bet on them this week.

Our EPL predictions expected Arsenal to pay around $1.30, so the $1.53 is a good price, and they’re worth including in EPL multi bets this week. The odds are likely to firm, so the opening odds are generous.
