Sheraco Stakes 2026 Tips & Predictions: Best Bets

It’s tough to keep a good horse down, and LADY SHENANDOAH (10) should go close to scoring an overdue victory in the 2026 Sheraco Stakes.

The Chris Waller-trained mare found the line nicely when running fourth behind Autumn Glow and Sheza Alibi in the Winx Stakes, and she isn’t facing those superstars in this field, so she will appreciate the easier class.

Barrier 10 doesn’t help her chances, but she was always going to settle in the second half of the field, and she could rattle off her impressive sectionals once again. If they go quickly up front, which they should, she will be warming to the task in the straight.

There isn’t much covering the favourites, so getting $5.50 for a runner of her class is generous. She’s explosive at her best, and our Sheraco Stakes predictions are hoping she’s back to her best.

If WEEPING WOMAN (6) taught us anything last season, it’s not to underrate her. She comes off three consecutive wins, and she showed toughness in all three wins.

The Joe Pride-trained mare improved her record to 17 starts for eight wins and five placings, and that record is tough to look past. She might not have the class of Lady Shenandoah and Lazzura, but she is as tough as they come.

Tim Clark is an excellent front-running jockey, so we expect her to roll forward and make them chase her. That’s typically a good strategy over 1200m at Rosehill, where back markers can struggle to make ground.

She’s almost impossible to leave out of Sheraco Stakes tips, so we’re taking the each-way odds with the 6YO daughter of Lonhro.

PLAINTIFF (8) is a runner with loads of potential, and although this is a tough test, she could pass it with flying colours.

The Peter Snowden-trained 4YO has four wins and a placing from five starts on her record, and she comes off a couple of solid trial efforts behind Way to the Stars and Enriched, which were good efforts.

She is unbeaten at the track, and in three attempts at 1200m, so it wouldn’t be a big upset if she were to win the Sheraco Stakes. She gets the weight advantage with 55kg, and that should make a big difference.
