Theo Marks Stakes Tips & Predictions 2026: Best Bets

We have Theo Marks Stakes tips and predictions for the Group 2 1300m race at Rosehill on Saturday.

Theo Marks Stakes odds have Skyhook as the current favourite, and he looks tough to beat in the sprint.

Best Bet
#6 Skyhook @ $2.90

The 4YO will need to do some work from a wide barrier, but he’s an adaptable type, and he warrants favouritism.

He is the class runner of the field with four wins and four placings from 13 starts, and some of his best wins have come at Rosehill, where he is a two-time winner.

He ended last season with a win, and he doesn’t need a run under his belt to show his best. His first-up record consists of a win and a placing, and if Kerrin McEvoy gets him into a good spot, they’ll do well to get past him.

The $2.90 odds are likely to firm close to start time, as he’s often a popular runner in betting markets, so put him on top with Theo Marks Stakes predictions.

When resuming last campaign fourth of 14 at this track in the LR Darbymunro March 21 over 1200m, soft track; 1.1 len behind Beskar carrying 58.5kg at $3.10. Looks set for a strong return to racing despite drawing out.

Next Best
#2 Militarize @ $12.00

Punters hate to love Militarize, who often runs at shorter odds and comes up short, but the $12 price has us intrigued.

The Chris Waller-trained gelding has over $3.6 million in prize money, so he’s a classy customer, but he needs to win a race soon. He has gone too long without winning, but he has faced tough fields throughout his career.

We’re giving him another chance at the odds. He gets the services of James McDonald in the saddle, and he is a past fresh up winner, so there are some things going for him to score an upset win.

At $12, he can provide punters with excellent value in exotic markets for the Theo Marks Stakes.

Back from a spell. Finished off last campaign third of 9 at Eagle Farm in the G2 Q22 Wfa June 13 over 2200m, in the wet; 2.5 len behind Royal Supremacy carrying 59kg at $5. Previously first up; fourth of 12 at Randwick in the G3 Liverpool February 28 over 1300m, soft track; 2 len behind King Of Roseau with 56.5kg at $4.20. Will improve on whatever he does in this.

Best Roughie
#1 Estadio Mestalla @ $18.00

Estadio Mestalla is a proven fresh up winner with three wins from nine starts, and he could sneak under the radar with Theo Marks Stakes tips.

The 7YO has yet to produce a win or placing over the distance, but he loves running at Rosehill with four wins and three placings from 10 starts, so there are things in his favour.

We expect him to drop back from the wide draw and hope the pace is on up front. If they go hard, he could sit just off them approaching the turn and come with a big finish down the outside.

We priced him at around $13, so punters get value odds, and this race has all the makings of an upset result.

Same Race Multi

Punters get value odds with our Theo Marks Stakes SRM, which includes our three selected runners.

We have Skyhook Top 2, Militarize Top 4, and Estadio Mestalla Top 5, which pays $15.50 for our three-runner SRM.

Militarize and Estadio Mestalla provide punters with excellent odds, which gives our same-race multi a juicy payout. We recommend including them in all Theo Marks Stakes bets.
