Redcliffe Harness Preview – Wednesday 16th September

ULTIMATE ARK (6) drew poorly last time out when shuffled back before running on nicely there into second behind Charlie Chuckles. He draws the front row this time and has options.  

SWEET NELLIE JOY (7) contested a stronger race last time out when leading before being run down by Nitrator in a very quick last quarter at this track. She draws poorly inside the back row and will need some luck.  

ROCK HAMMER (8) drew poorly last start and was running on into third late behind Charlie Chuckles. He should get a good run off the speed again in this race and can be running on late.   

FAVREAU (10) put in another big run last time out when sitting without cover and being run down late by Sporty Zara. He should be able to work around them at some stage and should run well again.  

SELECTIONS: ULTIMATE ARK (6), SWEET NELLIE JOY (7), ROCK HAMMER (8), FAVREAU (10) 

SUGGESTED BET: ULTIMATE ARK (6) to win.  

FRANCS FOR COMING (2) put in a huge effort last time out when working around them mid race to sit outside the leader before drawing away late and winning impressively. He has good gate speed and should be able to zip to the front and give them something to catch.  

PUNTERS JEWEL (6) stepped up in grade last time out and battled away fairly for fifth in a race the winner rated quick time of 1.54.8 at Redcliffe. He draws poorly but looks suited in this grade.  

SPORTY ZARA (9) scored a nice win at this track when making a wide run from back in the field to run down Favreau. She is likely to get back again be running on late.   

MY ULTIMATE MARIO (1) had a tough run last time out and faded out of it late. He hasn’t been showing much gate speed in recent outings which could potentially see him shuffled back a touch early.  

SELECTIONS: FRANCS FOR COMING (2), PUNTERS JEWEL (6), SPORTY ZARA (9), MY ULTIMATE MARIO (1) 

SUGGESTED BET: FRANCS FOR COMING (2) to win.  

MOONSHINE MILLY (5) broke through for a well deserved win last time out when getting a good run into it before finishing over the top of Goodolboysandbeer late at this track. He is likely to get a similar run off the speed again and if the race is run to suit he should be running on strongly.  

NOTIONS (10) scored an impressive win last time out when sweeping over the top late to run down Northview Cruncha in a race which wasn’t run to suit. She draws poorly again in this race due to being ODM but looks to find similar company and can be running on again.   

MULLUM JUDITH (1) has gate speed and may look to drive through and lead in this race. Last time she was able to lead she beat the smart filly Schooners leading all the way. She should run well.   

HES REGAL (6) was impressive through the recent showcase series at Redcliffe. Winning well in his heat before running a close up second to Hes All Torque in the final. He draws poorly but is racing well.  

SELECTIONS: MOONSHINE MILLY (5), NOTIONS (10), MULLUM JUDITH (1), HES REGAL (6) 

SUGGESTED BET: NOTIONS (10) each way.  

THE HARRIS HAWK (5) has been racing well and was excellent through the recent showcase series winning his heat well before backing that up with a good third behind Hes All Torque in the final. He can be running on late.   

TERRAGONG SWINGER (6) led two starts ago and scored a nice win leading all the way at this track before backing that up with a good third. He draws poorly in this race but is capable of taking it out with the right run.   

SHEZ A WARRIOR (7) should get a good run through in this race behind a horse which is likely to be keen to hold a forward position. She was running on late last time out in a race taken out by Royal Princess.  

CANDYKANE (1) usually runs her best races out in front and last time she was able to lead she took them all the way at this track. Her form since that win hasn’t been overly impressive but she can lead and look to bounce back in this race.  

SELECTIONS: THE HARRIS HAWK (5), TERRAGONG SWINGER (6), SHEZ A WARRIOR (7), CANDYKANE (1) 

SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ A WARRIOR (7) each way.  

ART OF ROCK (3) got back in the run two starts ago and was running on strongly into second behind Tiger Tommy. He is likely to get a similar run in this race and looks close to another win.  

SAME OLD DEVIL (7) wasn’t suited doing a lot of mid race work last time out before fading out of it late. He has a much softer draw in this race and with luck at the right time he can be running on late.  

ROSIES BOY (4) ran a good race in the consolation of the Showcase series at Redcliffe when running into third late behind Bonnies Cam. He has options from a good front row draw in this race.  

WHERES MY BLING (2) didn’t have much luck last time out when being dragged out of it after racing on the leaders back. She may be suited by the step back in trip and has a good draw.  

SELECTIONS: ART OF ROCK (3), SAME OLD DEVIL (7), ROSIES BOY (4), WHERES MY BLING (2) 

SUGGESTED BET: ART OF ROCK (3) to win.  

MULLUM SIZZLER (3) put in a big run last time out when sitting without cover at this track and running a close up second to Adore Cindy. He looks set to be forced to do some work again in this race but should be ready to break through for his maiden victory off recent second placings.  

JEWEL REASON (1) should have the speed to drive through and lead in the early stages of this race from an ideal draw. She led five starts ago at this track and was run down late by Red And Rich there finishing a close up second.  

OUTRUNTHETIDE (2) ran an excellent race last time out at big odds when running on nicely into second behind Imasillybilly. She is likely to have derived good benefit from the outing and can run well in this race second up from a great draw.  

DIRTY MARTINI (4) didn’t have much luck last time out at this track when wide on the track for a long way but still seemingly went a bit below his best there when well beaten in fifth. He can look to bounce back. 

SELECTIONS: MULLUM SIZZLER (3), JEWEL REASON (1), OUTRUNTHETIDE (2), DIRTY MARTINI (4) 

SUGGESTED BET: MULLUM SIZZLER (3) to win.  

AQUA CRUISER (8) ran well last time out despite the beaten margin given the work he was forced to do in a race they went quick time for the grade. He looks set to get a much more economical run this time in an easier race.  

LITTLE WHIPPET (4) was shuffled back early last time out and ran well there into fourth behind Notions and Northview Cruncha. He may be shuffled back early in this race and can be running on late.  

BEACH MAGIC (5) hasn’t quite been racing at his absolute best in recent outings. He draws poorly and will need a few things to go right in the run but his best is good enough. 

CONNIES SPIRIT (3) secured a good run last time out at this track and was finishing it off well into second behind Ultimate Hunter. She has excellent gate speed and has options in this race.
