Rosehill hosts a rare Wednesday meeting on September 30th, and seven races are on the program.
With the rail set out five metres and the track rated in the Soft (5) range, I’ve run the rule over the lot, and you can find my Rosehill preview and tips below!
LOW KEY (6) has opened a short priced favourite ahead of the first at Rosehill on Wednesday.
The Pinatubo filly is a two-start maiden, but after debuting for a midfield finishing behind Blue Door in the Kindergarten Stakes back in April, she returned to action to only just miss at Randwick-Kensington earlier this month.
With natural improvement, she’s ready to win.

BARRACKS (3) returns to action in a winnable race at Rosehill.
We haven’t seen Barracks at the races since May, but after a couple of near misses when the runner up in races at Newcastle and Hawkesbury, he was last seen finishing on the placegetters’ heels in black type company in Brisbane.
A couple of recent trials add further confidence and from a low draw, he should get every chance.
ANTHROPOID (4) rates as a key winning chance at Rosehill this week.
The Prague gelding has missed placing once in four runs back this time, breaking his maiden at Wyong before a couple of smart runs to only just miss when up in grade at his two latest.
In peak order this week and down in the weights, he gets the services of James McDonald and launches from the ideal barrier 4.
KENMARE BAY (4) looks beautifully placed again this week at Rosehill.
The consistent son of New Bay hit the line to place behind Aethelwulf here over 2000m two runs back and was only denied by an impressive Appeared getting out to this trip last time out.
This is undoubtedly a weaker race and a great opportunity for him to go one better.
Think Itz You gets a great chance to make it two wins on the bounce this week.
The So You Think gelding finished fifth in consecutive races at Warwick Farm first and second up this time before going up to Newcastle for a dominant victory in Class 1 company.
I’m confident that performance and victory will have brought him right on and with Tommy Berry retaining the ride, he can make a successful transition back into midweek metro company.
REGAL PROBLEM (5) has recorded two wins from as many starts this time and can make it three at Rosehill on Wednesday.
It was an easy watch in BM64 company at Gosford when resuming last month, and Regal Problem continued her positive journey through the grades when getting up again at Randwick-Kensington last time out.
Fitter third-up, slightly further out in trip and from the good draw, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish again.
This is a wide-open race to close the program and with a case to be made for many of them, SANTANA (4) is one that appeals at nice odds ($12 at publish).
Santana hasn’t been seen at the races since April, but he was a consistent performer last time in, breaking his maiden at the midweeks in Melbourne while placing a further three times, including a nice effort at Caulfield in April.
With a couple of handy trial performances under his belt, he’s fit and forward enough to have an impact in something like this.
