We have Caulfield Sprint tips and predictions for the Group 2 1000m race at Caulfield on Saturday.
Caulfield Sprint odds have Cavalry Girl at the top of the market, and she could be tough to hold out.
CAVALRY GIRL (5) is our Caulfield Sprint best bet after producing a strong performance in the Group 1 Moir Stakes, where she finished second behind My Gladiola.
She put together three consecutive wins before recording back-to-back runner-up finishes, with the latest effort in the Moir confirming that she remains competitive against quality sprinting opposition.
She has established herself as a specialist over 1000m, and she has the tactical speed to race near the lead. She should get every opportunity to control the race or sit just behind the leader before making her move in the straight.
At $2.60, Cavalry Girl is a logical selection, and she headlines our Caulfield Sprint predictions. Her odds could firm on race day, so take the opening price.

GALLANT SON (4) is included in our Caulfield Sprint tips, with the gelding looking well placed to bounce back after an unsuccessful return in the Group 1 Manikato Stakes over 1200m.
His recent form reads well, except for his last start, and although the latest result looks disappointing on paper, there are legitimate excuses for that performance. He was caught racing wide near the speed in the Manikato, expending plenty of energy before tiring late.
That run came against Group 1 opposition over 1200m, so dropping back to 1000m and tackling a less demanding field looks a positive move. He should also benefit from having that first-up run behind him, and his early speed gives him every chance to kick away around the home turn.

We’re including DON’T HOPE DO (3), who could add some value at big odds in the Caulfield Sprint.
His latest start was an 1100m race at Caulfield, where he raced near the speed and tired late behind Pallaton. That performance doesn’t look particularly strong at first glance, but he didn’t get all favours in the run.
He also meets the field with just 53kg, giving him the weight advantage, and that could be all he needs to recapture his best form. He is better for having two runs under his belt this preparation, and we expected slightly shorter odds than what he’s currently trading at.

Punters get value odds with our Caulfield Sprint SRM, which includes our three selected runners.
- Top 2 – No. 2 Cavalry Girl
- Top 3 – No. 3 Gallant Son
- Top 5 – No. 7 Don’t Hope Do
We have Cavalry Girl Top 2, Gallant Son Top 3, and Don’t Hope Do Top 5, which pays $13.50 for our three-runner SRM.
It’s a good price for our same-race multi, where we have Cavalry Girl and Gallant Son finishing in the money, with Don’t Hope Do running a good race for a top 5 position, and he adds some value to the odds.
