Scone Cup Tips
Scone Cup tips include looking for proven Group-class milers with winning form over the 1600m or further and those with a good lead-up run from the autumn.
The lower-weighted runners make a good tip in the Scone Cup with Speediness (57.5kg in 2013), Dr Drill (56.5kg in 2020), Sky Lab (57kg in 2024), Tavi Time (56.5kg in 2025) and Hellsing (54.5kg in 2026) the only Scone Cup winners to carry more than 54kg to victory in recent history.
Any in-form horses from the Snowden stable are also a nice Scone Cup betting tip as Peter Snowden has prepared three winners since 2010 most recently Pajaro (2016).
The boys hold the advantage and usually dominate Scone Cup tipping with Sedanzer (2018) the last mare to win.
