Sydney Roosters vs Wests Tigers: Predictions, Tips & Head to Head

Sydney Roosters are hunting a treble of Origin-depleted wins in 2025 after making a remarkable charge up the ladder mid-season, while Wests Tigers have spiralled to six straight losses.

The Roosters have won five of their last seven, including a 42-8 thrashing of the Cowboys before enjoying the Round 17 bye.

The Roosters again have Angus Crichton, Connor Watson, Lindsay Collins and Spencer Leniu on Origin duty. They hammered the Sharks 42-16 and grabbed a James Tedesco-inspired 12-8 victory over the Knights – both on the road – without their rep contingent prior to the first two interstate games.

The Tigers’ 28-10 defeat to Manly last Friday was one of their more disappointing of the season, having shown genuine fight in losing their previous three to the Cowboys, Panthers and Raiders by four-point margins.

The Tigers have lost Api Koroisau to concussion, Heath Mason to suspension and Tallyn Da Silva to Parramatta; Tristan Hope is at hooker with Adam Doueihi moving to five-eighth. Jarome Luai, absent last week, is in NSW camp.

The Roosters have won 18 of their last 19 against the Tigers, including the last eight straight. The Tricolours coasted to a 40-6 win at Allianz in the teams’ only meeting last year, their fifth in a row against the Tigers by a margin of 22-plus points.

Daniel Tupou scored two tries in last year’s clash, taking his career tally against the Tigers to an incredible 21 in 15 matches.

It’s hard to make a case for the Tigers here with an unrecognisable spine and confidence low – expect the Roosters’ charge to continue.
