The Queen Of The South Stakes is a Group 2 race run at Morphettville Racecourse on a Saturday in late April or early May during the Adelaide Autumn Racing Carnival. Run on the same day as the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m), Group 1 Australasian Oaks (2000m), the Group 2 Tobin Bronze Stakes (1200m), and the Group 3 DC McKay Stakes (1100m) for The Goodwood hopefuls, the Queen Of The South Stakes is contested over a mile (1600m) and is open only to fillies and mares.

The event is a set weights plus penalties race and offers a total of $250,000 in total prize money as of 2024.

Many of the best runners in the Queen Of The South Stakes back-up at the track a fortnight later in the Group 3 RA Lee Stakes (1600m) against the boys, the last to complete the double being Sylvaner who won both races in both 2002 and 2003. In 2020, Seabrook ran second in both the Queen Of The South Stakes and RA Lee Stakes.

The latest edition of the Queen Of The South Stakes took place on Saturday April 27, 2024 on Robert Sangster Stakes Day and was won by Seonee ($6) who saluted by 1.5 lengths with Billy Egan in the saddle.
