The English Premier League returns for Week 5 following the International break, and will see a number of key matches between teams of similar form and ladder positioning.
Everton will face Chelsea in the round’s first fixture on Saturday night, while a top of the table clash between Crystal Palace and Manchester City in London undoubtedly highlights the ten games scheduled.

Everton vs Chelsea
Week 5 of the English Premier League gets underway at 9:35pm AEST on Saturday, and will see the always-consistent Everton host champions Chelsea, who are yet to register much of a consistent or competitive run of form. The Toffees have not won a game since their 3-0 trouncing of Southampton in week 2, and should return from the international break refreshed and confident they can continue Chelsea’s woes at Goodison Park. Realistically this match could go either way in considering current form, but sure Chelsea will finally string together a few wins to climb out of 13th position.

West Bromwich Albion vs Southampton
West Brom have contested something of a typically slow start to their current Premier League campaign; posting a win, a draw and two losses to sit 15th overall. Southampton have more than proven themselves as mainstays in England’s top flight through recent seasons and enter this fixture off the back of a crushing 3-0 defeat of Norwich City. West Brom at the Hawthorns is a far tougher task than West Brom away, but Southampton will probably figure as a little too strong this weekend at good odds in win-draw-win markets.

Arsenal vs Stoke City
Arsenal won the Charity Shield the weekend prior to the Premier League season, but were stunned by cross-town rivals West Ham in Week 1 and delivered a 2-0 defeat. Since then, however, the Gunners have not tasted defeat and return home to face a Stoke City side who are also yet to find peak condition; currently languishing in eighteenth position. The Potters have made several key signings for this season and it’s probably only a matter of time until they find a purple patch of form, but Arsenal are probably a little too great a task this weekend.

Norwich City vs Bournemouth
Norwich City and Bournemouth enter their week 5 clash tied on four competition points after both securing a win, two losses and a draw, and will view this match as a key opportunity to chalk up a win over a similarly-experienced opposition. Both the Canaries and Cherries have proven they are up to the task and have probably both been unlucky not to post more than one win, and this match has every chance of figuring as the best contest in Week 5 as a result. We’re currently offering $3.35 for a draw and this fixture seems to have that result written all over it.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City
London’s Selhurst Park will play host to a top of the table clash between the in-form Crystal Palace and rampant title favourites Manchester City on Saturday night. The Eagles were unlucky not to take anything from their Week 3 match with Arsenal but have won all other fixtures, including an impressive 2-1 defeat of Chelsea away from home last time. Manchester City have been nothing short of dominant through their four matches so far; posting ten goals for and none against and managing to find the net through a number of avenues, perhaps most exciting for their fans. Palace have been brave in climbing to second overall but undoubtedly face their biggest task to date in the City, and while offering good value at $5.50 to win, will probably slump to a second defeat.

Watford vs Swansea City
Watford were widely expected to produce a particularly slow start to their first season back in the Premier League this campaign and face an up-hill battle for survival all season, but if their recent form is anything to go by we might be watching the Hornets in England’s top flight for a few years to come. While yet to claim a win through their first four games, Watford have been far from disgraced in posting three draws and a good effort against a red-hot Manchester City, and will be confident of delivering Swansea City a defeat. The Swans have started their campaign in typically good fashion and currently sit fourth overall following two wins and two draws; their most recent a victory over Manchester United. The Swans deserve favouritism but this is another match which could fall either way.

Manchester United vs Liverpool
Old foes Manchester United and Liverpool lock horns at Old Trafford this weekend, in what is sure to be a fiery affair. Neither side is yet to reach fully potential this campaign and will look to set this fixture as a Launchpad towards consistent success. United were stunned by Swansea City in week 4, while Liverpool will be without the services of gun Philippe Coutinho would was red carded in his side’s crushing loss to West Ham. We’re backing United, solely on account of the match between played in Manchester.

Sunderland vs Tottenham Hotspur
In what could very well figure as the most one-sided contest of Week 5 of the English Premier League, Sunderland return to the Stadium of Light to host the ever-dangerous Tottenham. In what may figure as a good omen for the North England side, Spurs are also yet to hit full flight this campaign but have posted some good results without being able to claim a win. Harry Kane came close to securing the Golden Boot last season and will look to find the back of the net a couple of times in games like this one to allow the best chance of a similarly-potent season.

Leicester City vs Aston Villa
The third-placed Leicester City have picked up where they ended their 2014/15 Premier League campaign and will be confident of securing another three competition points at home to the misfiring Aston Villa this weekend. The Foxes are yet to taste defeat this campaign having registered two wins and two draws, while Villa have been unable to return to winning form since a 1-0 win over Bournemouth in week 1. Leicester still offer great value for money at $1.85 and are more than worth consideration as a fold in a Premier League multibet this weekend.
