Week 6 of the English Premier League gets underway with what is sure to be a spiteful affair between London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night Australian time.
Not a lot separates the form of Everton and Swansea City and the two meet for the first time this campaign in Week 6, while league leaders Manchester City are offered a great chance of extend their unbeaten run of form against West Ham at home.
We’re offering the best odds on the widest range of markets for all ten matches in Week 6 of the English Premier League!
Chelsea vs Arsenal
In what is undoubtedly the headline fixture of Week 6 of the Premier League, Chelsea face Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night Australian time. The Champions have not looked like a side capable of defending their crown, nor make the top four this season; posting one win, one draw and three losses to sit 17th overall. Arsenal, while yet to set the league on fire have done enough to remain fourth and will be keen to return to winning form following a mid-week Champions League loss in Croatia. Chelsea do not deserve to be favourites in this match, and we’re confident the draw at current $3.30 odds offers the best value for money.
Footy Freaks
Diego Costa scores and Chelsea wins: $5
Alexis Sanchez scores and Arsenal wins: $7
Swansea City vs Everton
Saturday night’s match between the consistent Swansea City and Everton could very well prove the most tightly-contested match in Week 6 of the Premier League. The Swans started their 2015/16 campaign in typically slick form and sit eighth overall, while the Toffees enter this fixture off the back of an impressive 3-1 win over Chelsea. Liberty Stadium has proven a cauldron for travelling teams through recent seasons and we’re confident Swansea will salute at good odds this weekend.
Footy Freaks
Befetimbi Gomis scores and Swansea wins: $5
Romelu Lukaku scores and Everton wins: $7
Aston Villa vs West Bromwich Albion
Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion currently sit in 14th and 15th positions overall and will view their week 6 fixture as an ideal opportunity to post a much-needed win over an opposition of similar form. Villa have been far from terrible in their five matches so far whilst only posting the one win, while West Brom are undefeated since going down to Chelsea in Week 3. Tim Sherwood’s men are on the edge of stringing together a good run of form and could very well find that condition this weekend.
Footy Freaks
Gabriel Agbonlahor scores and Villa wins: $6.50
Saido Berahino scores and West Brom wins: $7.50
Newcastle United vs Watford
Newcastle have unfortunately picked up where they left off in 2014/15 and remain anchored to the bottom of the table on only two competition points. Watford were expected to be in the relegation fight all season but if their form so-far is anything to go by, they are looking down the barrel of a long and healthy stay in England’s top flight. Newcastle are offered some lenience in playing at St James’ Park but a draw seems the likely outcome in this match.
Footy Freaks
Ayoze scores and Newcastle wins: $6
Troy Deeney scores and Watford wins: $6.50
Bournemouth vs Sunderland
The newly-promoted Bournemouth have also stamped their claims as a team to watch this season and will be confident of another three competition points when hosting the lowly Sunderland in Week 6. The Cherries have had absolutely no qualms in attacking goal, and appear to have found a rock-solid defence capable of mixing it with the league’s best. We’re confident Bournemouth can continue climbing up the table with success this weekend.
Footy Freaks
Callum Wilson scores and Bournemouth wins: $3.75
Jermain Defoe scores and Sunderland wins: $11
Stoke City vs Leicester City
Stoke City made of the big pre-season signing when pulling off a coup for Swiss ace Xherdan Shaqiri but are yet to look a side capable of consistent results in the Premier League; stuck in 18th position overall on only two competition points. Leicester City have been just the opposite; claiming three wins and two draws to sit second behind Manchester City. Stoke at Britannia Stadium are a far better prospect than Stoke away, but Leicester City in current form will probably be too good.
Footy Freaks
Mame Biram Diouf scores and Stoke wins: $6
Jamie Vardy scores and Leicester wins: $6.50
Manchester City vs West Ham
Manchester City have returned to competition in near-perfect condition this season and are both yet to taste anything but success and concede a goal. West Ham shocked Arsenal 2-0 in Week 1 and have continued to perform well enough to hold fifth position overall on nine competition points. City boast an incredible, multi-dimensional attack and seem to be able to find the back of the net from all angles and field position. Realistically, City will win this match and well. 3-0 seems to be their score of choice this campaign and offer great value at current $8 odds to perform that feat over West Ham this weekend.
Footy Freaks
Raheem Sterling scores and City wins: $3.25
Diafra Sakho scores and West Ham win: $29
Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace
The second London derby in Week 6 of the Premier League will peg Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace against each other at White Hart Lane. Spurs are yet to find peak condition this time, while Crystal Palace are in the midst of one of their best starts to campaign in the top division and were unlucky not to take anything from their match with Manchester City last weekend. Both teams are capable and the result will fall in favour of the team who can dominate possession. A draw at current $3.50 odds offers great value for money.
Footy Freaks
Harry Kane scores and Tottenham wins: $4
Wilfried Zaha scores and Crystal Palace wins: $13
Liverpool vs Norwich City
Liverpool will be desperately seeking a win this weekend after dropping all the points to fierce rivals Manchester United in Week 5, and are offered a great opportunity to return to form against Norwich City at Anfield on Monday morning Australian time. Norwich are perched the highest of all three recently promoted teams and appear as though they will be a legitimate mid-table threat this campaign. Regardless, Livepool will win this match if they are any chance of winning the league this time.
Footy Freaks
Christian Benteke scores and Liverpool wins: $3.50
Cameron Jerome scores and Norwich wins: $13
