Week 11 of the A-League gets underway in the Hunter on Friday night when the Jets attempt to return to winning form against Adelaide, who are aiming to make it three in a row.
Wellington Phoenix and Sydney FC are sure to play out an interesting match on Saturday afternoon, but the round is undoubtedly highlighted by a Melbourne Derby between City and the Victory later that night.
We’re offering the best odds on a wide range of markets for all five A-League games in Week 11!
Newcastle Jets vs Adelaide United
Following a strong start to the season the Newcastle Jets have fallen out of form through recent weeks; culminating in a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Melbourne City last weekend. Adelaide United have undoubtedly been the A-League’s big disappointment through the first ten weeks of the competition but are interestingly staring down the barrel of a third consecutive win having seen off both the Perth Glory and Sydney FC in recent weeks. This is the first match the Reds have played away from home in that run of form however, and the Jets will do everything in their power to return to winning form themselves. A draw represents terrific value at current $3.50 odds.

Wellington Phoenix vs Sydney FC
In one of the more intriguing encounters in Week 11 of the A-League, the inconsistent Wellington Phoenix hosts a completely out of form Sydney FC at the Cake Tin on Saturday afternoon. Wellington were outplayed by the Roar in Brisbane last weekend but undoubtedly find an extra gear in front of their home crowd, while Sydney’s season hit a new low when they became only the second team to lose to Adelaide this campaign. If Wellington turn up to play they can really make something of this match and there is plenty of value to be had in all markets surrounding this match.

Shane Smeltz scores and Sydney wins: $6
Melbourne City vs Melbourne Victory
Undoubtedly the clash of the round will occur when City and the Victory lock horns in the 18th edition of the Melbourne Derby on Saturday night. This is the second edition of the Melbourne Derby for season 2015/16, with the Victory running away late 3-2 winners when the teams met on October 17th. Since then the Victory have won the FFA Cup final and have slightly cooled in form, while City have exploded from the gates through recent weeks and leapfrogged their fierce crosstown rivals into third last week with a 4-0 thrashing of the Jets. Realistically this match could fall either way, but it is very hard to look past City in current form and they are worth consideration at $2.50 odds in win-draw-win markets.

Besart Berisha scores and Victory wins: $4.50
Perth Glory vs Western Sydney Wanderers
The out of form Perth Glory face a mammoth task in overcoming the league’s current best team in the Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday night. Perth have won just two games on their way to second last overall while the Wanderers appear to have returned to the form that delivered two Grand Final appearances in their first two season and the AFC Champions League title two years ago. There is not a lot to say about this match other than the Wanderers will probably win, and win well.
Central Coast Mariners vs Brisbane Roar
Week 11 of the A-League will draw to a close when old foes the Mariners and Roar meet on the Central Coast on Sunday afternoon. The Mariners are yet to produce much of a competitive or consistent run of form this season and sit last overall, while the Roar have returned in good condition and appears as though they will be challenging for the title again this campaign. Brisbane will probably win and are certainly worth consideration for a bet at current $1.85 odds.
