Week 15 of the A-League gets underway from Friday night when new league leaders the Brisbane Roar face a big task in overcoming the Victory in Melbourne.
The in-from Adelaide United will look to continue their undefeated streak past the Central Coast Mariners on Saturday afternoon, but the week’s fixtures are undoubtedly highlighted by the Sydney Derby in Parramatta later that night.
We’re offering the best odds on the widest range of markets for all five matches in Week 15 of the A-League!
Melbourne Victory vs Brisbane Roar
Week 15 of the A-League gets underway on Friday night when the somewhat out of form Victory host the ladder-leading Brisbane Roar in Melbourne. The Victory began their title defence in typically slick form but have seemingly fallen out of serious contention since securing the FFA Cup for the first time a couple of months ago. Not a lot was expected of the Roar in their first season under John Aloisi but the young team has continued to go from strength to strength and enter this match undefeated since week 9 and with a one point competition lead. The Victory at home have generally been a far-better prospect of success in recent weeks, however in current form are too short at their $2 quote. A draw represents terrific value at $3.60.

Adelaide United vs Central Coast Mariners
Following a particularly slow start to the season, Adelaide United have climbed to sixth overall off the back of a string of positive results and look to extend their record past the last-placed Central Coast Mariners on Saturday afternoon. Undefeated since Week 8, the Reds franked the form displayed when holding the in-form Wanderers to a draw away in Week 13 when seeing off fierce rivals the Perth Glory 3-1 last weekend. Central Coast have managed a spattering of good results between lacklustre performances but should have taken plenty of confidence from a win over the Wellington Phoenix and draw with the Victory in their two most recent matches. In current form, Adelaide should simply be too good at home.

Western Sydney Wanderers vs Sydney FC
Week 15 of the A-League undoubtedly reaches its peak when the eleventh edition of the Sydney Derby is contested between the Wanderers and Sky Blues on Saturday night. Two of the league’s more consistent teams this campaign, the Wanderers and Sydney FC are both well and truly in contention for the Premiers Plate in 2016 sitting second and fourth overall; something which is sure to add a little extra spice to what is already going to be a fiery affair. These derbies always seem to be better when played in front of the Parramatta faithful but results, regardless of any prior form, can go either way. FC snuck away with a 1-0 win over their fiercest rivals earlier this season but face a monumental task in repeating the result on Saturday.

Perth Glory vs Melbourne City
Melbourne City are arguably amidst their best season to date this campaign and travel to the nation’s west on Sunday afternoon third overall on 24 competition points. City’s depth is good over close to the whole pitch and they have clearly been boosted by the addition of veteran stars like keeper Thomas Sorenson this season. Having been sensationally dumped out of the finals last season, Perth Glory have undoubtedly been the big disappointment in the A-League this time; failing to respond to their critics and sitting a distant ninth. Perth are capable of a good performance at home on their day but it’s hard to tip against City in this fixture.

Newcastle Jets vs Wellington Phoenix
Perhaps one of the more well-contested matches in Week 15 of the A-League will be contested when the Newcastle Jets host the Wellington Phoenix on Sunday afternoon. Neither team has really been able to make much of an impact on the competition this season, but each has managed a shock win or two over some of the league’s best teams to stay somewhat in touch with post-season calculations, though a berth in the finals will probably be too great a stretch. Newcastle have been competitive at home and represent great value to beat the Phoenix at current $2.50 odds.
