THE BRIEF
The round is already underway with Brisbane doing as the market, but not necessarily its form, predicted. Tonight we have the Tigers looking to snack on some Rabbit while the weekend provides us with some good matches but, more importantly, I think some good opportunities to bank some winners on the field.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
With the Rabbits freeze under the Friday night lights and allow the Tigers some underdog supper? That seems to be what the market thinks with Wests back from $3.15 into $2.40 and the Bunnies on the drift from $1.33 to $1.60.
Both teams have attracted support but the money for the outsiders has been much more than just hopeful betting.
NEW CASTLE FOR WARRIORS TO CLAIM
Poor headline on my part, most likely a poor game but the fact is, the team which plays the Knights gets support and this week, it is the boys from across the ditch.
Currently $1.33 in the head to head, I would expect that to shorten as punters realise there is free money on offer. The line is 8 out to 10 and will also most likely drift further.
For the record, if you think Newcastle can win, they’re $3.45.
STORMY, STORMY NIGHT
A stormy Saturday night for a second week in succession is what is on the card if punters are on the money. The best backed team all round has been my boys in purple who are into $1.38 in the head to head, while the line has also been subject of a good go out from 4 points to 8. The Roosters have barely attracted a bet with Ladbrokes and are $3.10 outsiders.
PREMIERSHIP FAVOURITISM ON OFFER
Money here for both sides but what the victor will take will be premiership favouritism. The Cowboys assumed that title last week when Brisbane’s form saw it ousted from the top of the market for the first time this season but if the Sharks can shoot down the Cowboys, they will most likely grab the mantle.
They have been the best back team in that market over the past couple of months and victory as $1.85 faviourite against the Cowboys ($2) at Shark Park on Monday won’t halt that money.
