Keira Maguire has experienced plenty of movement I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! betting markets at Ladbrokes after former model Tziporah Malkah became the third contestant to be evicted from season 3 of the popular series.
Maguire quickly firmed into an $11 quote after the former Kate Fischer exited the wilderness, but has since drifted back out to odds of $26 to share the bottom line with Olympian Lisa Curry.
Maguire rose to prominence during the 2016 edition of reality series The Bachelor, for her fiery temperament and unique attempts at winning the heart of rope technician Richie Strahan.
It is that manner that has found Maguire in an offside position with the viewing public, who have revelled in voting the thirty-year-old into all manner of challenges through two long weeks in the South African jungle.
Ladbrokes bookmaker Tony Wilmot said that Maguire is the “obvious villain” in the competition, but could follow a similar line of success experienced by contestants in seasons past.
“Keira’s colourful personality and tag as the series’ obvious villain means that she gets plenty of airtime and as is often said, any publicity is good publicity,” said Wilmot.
“In season 2, The Bachelor contestant Laurina Fleure was set on by the public from day dot, but managed forty-five days in the jungle and a third-place finish.
“There is nothing to say that Keira can’t make a deep run in the competition for similar reasons, particularly as her charisma is the crux of reality TV!”
Malkah’s former position towards the bottom of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! betting has meant that there hasn’t been a great deal of movement elsewhere.
Dane Swan remains an outright $2.50 competition favourite ahead of Casey Donovan ($3.70), Steve Price ($5) and Kris Smith, who has drifted slightly to $8 odds.
