The Bachelor Review – Episode 7

The Bachelor Review – Episode 7

This recap is a little late because it’s taken some time to wrap my head around the drama that unfolded in last night’s episode.

It was the best one yet.

It’s genuinely hard to know where to start.

Ok here goes. Matty invited his sister Kate to come into the house and go all FBI on the girls to find out their real intentions with her little bro.

“I want to try and catch these girls out.”

The investigation was full on, with individual chats/interviews all around the mansion, where Elora was super quick to throw Leah under the bus by revealing she used to be a topless waitress and now runs a business catering for all sorts of risqué parties.

Simone chimed in with another damning character reference for Leah, revealing how Leah had been bullying her in the house, trying to make her ‘snap’.

Kate decided to have a second interview with Leah about her job at the group date, and it’s fair to say Leah wasn’t all that pleased.

“I’m so f+@king angry … Who told you?”

She went on to say Simone had a similar job history, clearly just to take someone down with the ship.

Then she went back into the group date, where ironically the activity was to make volcanoes with five year olds.

As they chucked in the vinegar to make the eruption, it was a visual representation of Leah’s rage. She was about to erupt.

“If I do go home this week, I’m going to go out with the biggest bang you’ve ever seen,” she said.

True to form, as soon as she got back to the house it was on.

They had a screaming match in the kitchen, mainly because Leah didn’t stop talking the whole time, not even to take a breath, so the only way to be heard was to scream over her voice.

Then the threats came.

“I have enough on nearly every single one of you to destroy you… I’m not the only person with secrets in this house,” Leah said before storming out.

Kate told Matty about what her FBI investigation had uncovered, revealing Jen and Leah are the ‘mean girls’ in the house.

She also told him to chat to Leah and Simone at the cocktail party about their jobs.

It starts to click for Matty that Leah is a shady bitch.

“She must have been curating everything to paint this perfect picture.” Duh.

He chats to Leah, and she tries to play it all down.

Then she stuffs up big time.

She forgets her nice girl act and reverts to being herself, accidentally revealing how she has been bullying Simone.

“The first two weeks in here I thought, ‘She’s going to explode. I’m going to push her buttons’”.

She said it so casually, with a complete lack of emotion, and it was kind of scary. Like psychopath scary. His face, I can’t even.

She didn’t even realise what she’d said was mean.

Then she said, “I’m going to watch heads explode tonight if I get a rose.”

It was unbelievable.

When she got back to the party, they asked her how it went and she said it was all fine.

Elora yelled, “Did he tip you?” and copped a death stare for the ages. It might be my favourite moment of the series so far.

Matty then talks to Simone who reveals she was a topless waitress years ago, and she cries telling him about it, and the situation she was in at the time.

Watching her crying, you couldn’t help but feel sorry for her, and it was clear, Leah was cooked.

She’d chucked Simone under the bus and it backfired.

Matty talks to Leah again.

“There is one common denominator in all the drama and that’s you.”

Can we get a slow clap going for Matty? The penny has finally dropped. He got there eventually.

Onyas Matty.

Anyway, Leah tries one more time.

“I think you’re making a mountain out of a mo-hill.”

Yes, she said “mo-hill”. Mo-hill. Mo-hill. She said mo-hill.

My god.

He sent her on her way and she left with some passive aggressive jibes for him to have a think about.

“I really wish you luck in cutting through your fake bullsh+t, cos there’s a lot of it. Cheers.”

“Matty’s gorgeous but f+@k me, no man is worth that bullsh+t.”

“Elora is so fake it’s not funny.”

“Stephanie’s just a bitch.”

“I do want to find love, just not in such dramatic fashion.”

It was beautiful.

She’s gone so Jen will have to step up the drama tonight.

In other Bachie news, he pashed Laura, and I’d say she’s 25 goals up at three quarter time.

Alix got a single date and stuffed it up by talking about the other girls the whole time. Oh, and she hit her tooth with the champagne glass which made such a loud sound she’s lucky to have all her teeth.
