Daily Sports Tips – Thursday 18th January

Nicolas Kicker vs Lukas Lacko 11.00am AEDT
Lukas Lacko To Beat The Games Handicap (-6.5 Points)

Lukas Lacko moved into the second round with an upset win over Milos Raonic and he should really prove far too strong for Nicholas Kicker. Kicker’s overall record on hardcourts is extremely poor and Lacko has a massive edge in his hold/break percentage on the surface. He should cruise to a comfortable win.

David Goffin vs Julien Benneteau 2.15pm AEDT
Julien Benneteau To Beat The Games Handicap (+6.5 Games) @ $2.25

David Goffin could end up proving too strong for Julien Benneteau, but there is not as much between these two players as the current market suggests. Benneteau holds serve in over 80% of games on hard-court and it is unlikely that Goffin will be able to dominate any individual set. Benneteau is a great bet with a 6.5 games start

Peter Gojowczyk vs Alexander Zverev 5.00pm AEDT
Peter Gojowczyk To Win @ $5

Alexander Zverev may be one of the best players in the world, but he has a poor record at the Grand Slams and he does look vulnerable in this clash against countrymen Peter Gojowczyk. Gojowczyk is coming off a career-best season on the ATP Tour and there is no way that he should be as long as $5.

Sydney Sixers vs Brisbane Heat 7.40pm AEDT
Nathan Lyon Sydney Sixers Top Wicket Taker @ $4

Nathan Lyon has been in simply outstanding form this Summer and he bowled brilliantly against the Melbourne Stars on the weekend. The Brisbane Heat have struggled against spin-bowling during the Big Bash season to date and it would not surprise to see Lyon cut-through the Heat top-order.
