Daily Racing Tips – Wagga Gold Cup Day Special

Wagga - Race 3 1:35pm AEDT
No. 8 Star Of The Clan

Star Of The Clan is a horse with speed to burn and she appeals at her current price of $6 in this contest at Wagga. She ran out of gas late at Canberra first-up, but she should take good improvement from that run. The wide draw isn’t an issue as she can cross this field to take up the running and she will prove tough to run down.

Wagga - Race 6 3.30pm AEDT
No. 3 D’oro Rain
Tip of the Day

D’oro Rain has recorded three wins from her seven race starts and she still has the scope to improve. She scored a sharp win at Gosford a couple of starts ago and she was only narrowly denied at Randwick last start. She will make her own luck right on the speed with Tim Clark in the saddle and will prove tough to beat.

Wagga - Race 7 4:10pm AEDT
No. 2 Taikomochi
Each Way

Taikomochi is well and truly over the odds at his current price in the Wagga Gold Cup. He led from start to finish to win the Neville Sellwood Stakes at Rosehill Gardens and he was gallant in defeat in the JRA Plate last start. Adam Hyeronmius is a great judge of pace and Taikomochi will be very tough to run down.

Wagga - Race 8 4:50pm AEDT
No. 3 Superoo

It has been a long time between race wins for Superoo, but he does get his chance in this contest this afternoon. He is one of the only horses in this field that has previously won on a heavy track and the wide barrier draw might actually be an advantage at this stage of the afternoon.
