Kordia was excellent on debut over the 1200m at this track when he took a rails run and savaged the line late to just miss. He is a horse with some talent and no stable is going better than Godolphin with their young ones.
Una Fuerza impressed with her first run in Australia at Randwick running to within a length of Maddison Avenue. She then stepped up in distance and was ridden just ff the pace, both bad decisions in my opinion. She will appreciate the step back in distance here, Overmeire will have the luxury of settling where he likes from a good draw and the claim will help her chances. In a weakish mid week race, she looks over the odds at $34!
Medovina has been working home well late in her races this prep and looks ready to peak third up. She is a mare who looks to have a fair amount of upside and I am confident she will progress to a better grade of racing than this. The step up to 1250m will be appreciated, the draw is ideal and she gets a 2kg claim with Dolan on top.
Lady Of Flanders is a classy young progressive mare who has only had the 10 starts in her career to date. Her run over the 1200m at Flemington in March was good and she looks well placed back to mid week grade. She was not beaten at Group 3 level in the Spring and she has been kept fresh which will benefit her. In a small field, she looks hard to beat.
