Race 1 - 12:30pm

Griffin Plate (1200m) (Turf)

Smiling Face has been runner up at his only two race starts over 1000m at Sha Tin and gets his chance to break through for his Maiden win.

Like That beat Smiling Face last start over 1000m at Sha Tin but is up in the weights this week stepping up to 1200m.

Sunny Star is also up in the weights following his debut win at Sha Tin and Chancheng Prince has been racing similar company for two thirds at his only two starts.

Race 2 - 1:00pm

Class 4 Handicap (1400m) (Turf)

Leap Of Faith is dropping back to 1400m after finishing sixth this class over 1600m last start.

He was runner up over the 1400m three starts back and Joao Moreira will give him every chance from gate two.

Circuit Hassler is a winner over this course and distance and drops in the weights following his last start fifth in similar company.

Armor Star will take improvement from his debut fourth and So We Joy is back on the turf after finishing fourth over 1650m on the All Weather Track at Sha Tin.

Race 3 - 1:30pm

Class 4 Handicap (1600m) (Turf)

Enjoy Life is still down in the weights and is nearing a win after finishing second at his last two starts in similar class and distance at Sha Tin.

Full Power was a winner over this course and distance two starts back and dropping back to the 1600m following his last start twelfth over 1800m.

Monster Kaka has been placed at his last two starts over 1400m and 1600m and has apprentice Jerry Chau’s claim to help his chances.

City Legend has drawn the rails but will still need plenty of luck.

G3 The Sha Tin Vase (1200m) (Turf)

Thanks Forever and Hot King Prawn will clash again after finishing third and fourth in the Group 1 The Chairman’s Sprint (1200m) at Sha Tin on April 26 and there won’t be much between the two sprinters again.

Big Party was well beaten in the same race but drops considerably in the weights and Wishful Thinker finished on the heels of Hot Kong Prawn.

Race 5 - 2:30pm

Class 3 Handicap (1200m) (Turf)

Good Luck Friend is up in class after a win and a second at his last two starts this course and distance and will appreciate the drop in weight.

Biz Power made up plenty of ground from the back for a last start fourth in similar company and will be running on again with Zac Purton taking over the reins.

Hafeet Alain is having his first start in Hong Kong after commencing his career in Great Britain and the betting will be the best guide.

Happy Time can mix his form but has been placed at two of his last three starts.

Class 4 Handicap (1200m) (Turf)

Kinda Cool was runner up at his first race start in a 1000m Class 4 at Sha Tin and will be better for the run.

Scores Of Fun is facing the starter for the first time and has Joao Moreira in the saddle and the betting will be the best guide.

Regency Poet heads back to Sha Tin after running second in a 1200m Class 4 at Happy Valley and Gallant Legacy is up in the weights following his last start win over this course and distance.

Race 7 - 3:35pm

Class 4 Handicap (1200m) (Turf)

Xponential has been placed at his last two starts over this course and distance and gets in nicely at the weights with apprentice Jerry Chau’s claim.

Fast Pace will strip fitter for a debut fourth in a 1200m Class 4 at Sha Tin and look for improvement.

Sell My Sole is facing the starter for the first time and the betting will be the best guide and True Legend is up in the weights following his last start win in similar class and distance.

Race 8 - 4:05pm

G1 The Standard Chartered Champions & Chater Cup (2400m) (Turf)

Exultant was the winner of this race 12 months ago and goes into this year’s race as a last start Group 1 winner of The QEII Cup over 2000m at Sha Tin on April 26 and is the one to beat again.

Furore chased home Exultant in The QEII Cup and looks the main danger again.

Chefano and Savvy Nine finished first and second in the Group 3 The Queen Mother Memorial Cup over 2400m at Sha Tin so they won’t have any trouble with the distance this week.

Race 9 - 4:40pm

Class 3 Handicap (1800m) (Turf)

World Famous has won over this course and distance in the past and apprentice Victor Wong’s claim will come in very handy.

Defending Moment scored back to back wins over 1600m and 1800m before a last start fourth over 2000m at Sha Tin and is a lightweight chance.

Tangmere has good Happy Valley form with two wins and a third from his last three starts but is yet to win at Sha Tin and Champion Supreme is up in the weights after winning over 2000m in a Sha Tin Class 3.

Race 10 - 5:15pm

Class 3 Handicap (1400m) (Turf)

Beauty Smile hasn’t been far off the mark at his two runs to date in Hong Kong and gets his chance here with Joao Moreira in the saddle.

Regency Bo Bo is resuming and has good first form and is also a four times winner over this course and distance.

Hello Beauty is coming off a last start second over the 1400m and has apprentice Jerry Chau’s claim to help his chances and Ultimate Glory ran an improved race last time.

Class 2 Handicap (1400m) (Turf)

Happy Fun had handy Sha Tin form before his latest ninth at Happy Valley and can find his way back amongst the prizemoney.

Circuit Tree scored a hat trick of wins in Class 4s and Class 3s over the Sha Tin 1400m course before his last start sixth at Class 2 level but is still down the weights.

Will Power has very good All Weather Track form with three wins and two placings from his five starts but is yet to be tested on the turf.

Glorious Spectrum showed plenty of improvement at his most recent outing for a second in a 1200m Class 2 at Sha Tin.
