Daily Racing Tips – Sunday, 16th October

Sunshine Coast - Race 1 12:55pm AEDT
No. 2 Kobe Lad

Three year old gelding Kobe Lad broke through for his maiden win on the Gold Coast back in August over 1100m and has been consistent since.

He’s finished second at his past two at Kilcoy and the Sunshine Coast and he has been unplaced just once in eight career starts.

Blinkers go on for this assignment.

Sunshine Coast - Race 2 1:30pm AEST
No. 4 Pizonie

Pizonie is a talented short course specialist who has been placed in 13 of 23 starts over 1000m.

The seven year old gelding was beaten 3.5 lengths at Eagle Farm last time out and meets Archer’s Paradox much better at the weights and the Tony Gollan trained horse has drawn well in barrier three.

Blinkers have been added.

Sunshine Coast - Race 6 4:05pm AEDT
No. 8 Salsonic

This is the easiest task that Salsonic has contested for a while and the now nine year old has been racing well throughout this prep without winning.

He was beaten just 1.4 lengths at Kembla Grange two back and a repeat of that effort would see him go close in a race of this quality with just 54.5kgs

Sunshine Coast - Race 7 4:40pm AEDT
No. 5 Happisburgh
Tip of the Day

Happisburgh had just the one start during his last campaign finishing third in a #YO maiden at Doomben.

He is only a lightly raced five year old gelding who has placed in four of six career race starts and he has a heap of upside.

This looks a very winnable race for him.
