Daily Harness Tips – Friday, March 17

Albion Park - Race 1 12:28pm AEST
No. 3 Risky Buziness to win

Open race to start the day and most of these can win without surprising, but Risky Buziness looks the best of them.

The key to his chances today is the engagement of the states leading driver in Nathan Dawson.

He can really get them to leave the mobile swiftly and with a lack of any real pace to his inside there is a strong possibility he will charge to the lead, which is where he does his best.

If he can sneak a cheap quarter up front at any stage, they will have a hard time mowing him down.

Albion Park - Race 5 3:08pm AEST
No. 3 Bee Gees Best to win

Mister Domingo is a clear favourite here and it is understandable why the market has latched onto him, but that now appears to be a rock bottom price, so in the pursuit of a tad more value you could do worse than have something on Bee Gees Best.

He is a proven winner this course and distance in 1:55.6 from the front end, which would win this comfortably, but he did perform poorly at his latest outing and was sent back to the trials.

He trialled OK without being brilliant, but if he finds his best in this company and more importantly, speeds to the lead, then he will shake the life out of this.

Albion Park - Race 7 4:28pm AEST
No. 7 Jaccka Wally each way

Substitooth is another well-found in the market, but he too looks to be absolute rock bottom odds, especially with so much pace drawn to his inside and if he is to find the lead, he will have to really earn it.

For that reason, I’d be looking to a run-on horse, or one that can pop around to sit outside the speed once the early burn has taken place and that looks to be Jaccka Wally.

He messed up the start last time and was sent back to the trials where he performed well and whether he comes with one dash at them or is close to the pace at the bell, he will give this favourite something to think about.

Albion Park - Race 8 5:04pm AEST
No. 10 Swedish Starlet to win

Quite a strong race to dissect here and the market looks to have it about spot on with Swedish Starlet the favourite despite the outside of the second line draw.

She faces a nice drop in grade today after taking on Band 5 company on a Saturday night on this circuit last start where she wasn’t disgraced behind the classy Uptown Beachgirl from a shocking gate.

There looks to be some early heat in this and that will bring her right into it over the concluding stages.

She’s not just a sprint for 200m type either, she has shown on numerous occasions she can do work so watch for her to be really strong late on.

Albion Park - Race 9 5:32pm AEST
No. 1 Leander to win

There has been an early drift for Leander here, which is understandable, as the one they have backed to beat her (No Motive) was just the wrong price when markets first went up.

The key for me here is there isn’t an enforcer type horse in the affair, which means Leander can just cruise along at her leisure up front and get every possible chance to bounce back into the winners list after some indifferent performances of late.

Go on her all-the-way win this track and distance back in late January in 1:54.3 and a repeat of that will just about see her home today.
