Winner – Vauban
They could all be running for second in the 2023 Melbourne Cup.
Willie Mullins set Vauban for this race 18 months ago and we know that he always brings the right horses to Australia.
Ryan Moore in the saddle is a huge bonus as well.
We could see something pretty spectacular!
2nd – Without A Fight
I’m really confident Without A Fight runs very, very well
He was very strong in a strongly run race where there was nowhere to hide, he was really strong through the line.
I can only see him improving out of that run, he’s definitely the best of our locals.
3rd – Soulcombe
Joao Moreira is the key to the chances of Soulcombe in the 2023 Melbourne Cup.
You want to keep him right on the job so when he gets to the barriers his heart rate is up a little bit.
It will be an interesting watch because if he misses it a length or so, he can’t win it.
Joao is a master at this, if there’s anyone that can get it done it’s Joao.
4th – Absurde
I don’t think that Absurde is just here to be a travelling companion for Vauban.
He might not be as classy as his stablemate, but he is a good horse in his own right.
You know that he will run the trip out strongly and that is half the battle in the Melbourne Cup.
