After his win in Zandvoort last weekend, the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship is Oscar Piastri’s to lose and the Aussie can take a step closer towards the ultimate glory with a win in this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix at the famed Monza race course.
Holding a 34 point lead over teammate Lando Norris, Piastri will be eager to extend his advantage and will start the weekend as the favourite in the Italian Grand Prix betting markets.
It won’t be all smooth sailing for the entire run home however as he needs to maintain his gap over Norris to prevent McLaren getting any ideas about prioritising the Brit in the run home.
Not to mention Max Verstappen who would love to if not reinsert himself into the world championship discussion, at least play spoiler and make life tougher than it should be on the Papaya team.

Race Winner
Will the new engine for Lando Norris be enough to allow him to overtake his teammate on the high speed Monza circuit?
It’s pretty much all he can hope for at the moment with Piastri looking almost unstoppable capturing the race grand slam in Monza.
Normally when you have two clear favourites in the market, the value is in backing the underdog but with the way Piastri is driving, there really is only one choice.
Back the Aussie to further extend his lead in the World Championship.
Oscar Piastri to Win @ $2.00
Podium Finish
It was an utterly miserable weekend in Zandvoort for Ferrari with both of their drivers crashing out before the end of the race.
Lewis Hamilton lost his battle with the wall while Charles Leclerc withdrew after a collision with Kimi Antonelli.
However Leclerc has history at Monza, including an impressive drive to see off both McLarens last year and I like his chances of rebounding in front of a Ferrari friendly crowd.
Charles Leclerc Podium Finish @ $2.25
Top 6 Finish
There is some value to be found in this market in a season where it has been tough to pick.
Let’s start with Lewis Hamilton who is looking to continue a streak of three top six finishes at Monza and, like his teammate, will be hoping to respond after his frustrating exit last weekend.
Alex Albon has two top six finishes from his last three starts and looks like he is coming into his own behind the wheel of the Williams.
Lewis Hamilton Top 6 Finish @ $2.00
Alex Albon Top 6 Finish @ $4.00
Points Finish
Over the last four races, every driver in the field bar Carlos Sainz and Franco Colapinto has recorded a top ten finish, suggesting that this market is wide open and well worth a couple of dart throws.
It might have been unthinkable at the start of the season to say that Liam Lawson and Lance Stroll were value options in this market, but based on recent form it’s hard to argue against that.
Lawson was unlucky to see his good run of results come to an end last week after getting caught up in the field but I like his chances of bouncing back this time.
You might be surprised to see Stroll 11th in the F1 Drivers’ Championship standings but on the back of three seventh places in his last four, he has climbed the ladder.
Meanwhile I’m happy to jump on the Yuki Tsunoda bandwagon after his ninth place in the Netherlands.
It was his first point since the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix but it could also be a sign that things are starting to improve for the Red Bulls.
Liam Lawson Points Finish @ $2.25
Lance Stroll Points Finish @ $3.00
Yuki Tsunoda Points Finish @ $3.30
Williams Double Points Finish @ $3.50
Number of Finishers
Keep this one nice and simple, we should see a relatively clean race with 19 finishers last year.
18 cars were classified last weekend and I’m not expecting many crashes here.
Over 18.5 Classified Finishers @ $2.35
Safety Car (No) @ $2.00
Italian Grand Prix Same Game Multi
Piastri Win, Norris Podium, Leclerc & Russell Top 6, Hamilton & Alonso Points @ $14.60
