Rosehill Gardens hosts a rare midweek meeting on Wednesday, February 25th and seven races are on the program.
With the rail set out 7 metres around the entire course, we’re set to race on the track rated in the ‘Good’ range, and you can find my complete Rosehill best bets below.
SPHERE steps out a fit horse this week and I am going to give her another chance to win.
She’s yet to strike in three runs back from a break and through a combined four career starts, but Sphere hasn’t been far away from the winner this time and a win does appear imminent.
Under James McDonald, this looks her opportunity.

HAY STREET has opened a popular favourite in betting ahead of Race 2.
The Capitalist gelding has finished the runner up in three of five starts since debuting and returned to action to finish second behind Journeyman at Warwick Farm earlier this month.
With natural improvement and as another boosted by the booking of James McDonald, he’s my best bet on the program.

DOUBLE VISION is third up and primed to strike at Rosehill.
Double Vision showed plenty of promise at the trials prior to debuting and has finished third and second respectively in a pair of Sydney metro maidens so far.
She’s got plenty of upside, while getting out to the 1500m this week also looks to suit.

CENTENARIO looks well placed again at Rosehill.
The classy gelding kept his best work for late when third, beaten a length and a half by Ivan’s Hero at Canterbury when resuming and enjoyed plenty of improvement into an eye-catching win over 1900m last time out, beating home some classy types at the same track.
Fitter third-up and out to the mile and a half, I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again.

ASTRONOMIX has shown good ability since debuting and rates as a key winning chance again on Wednesday.
Having stamped himself as one to follow with a sharp performance to win easily on debut at Randwick-Kensington in January, the Calyx gelding was only just denied again when stepping up into BM64 company last time.
With further improvement this week, something like this doesn’t look beyond him.

SOVERATO is the one for me in the penultimate race at Rosehill.
Soverato went to the paddock after breaking her maiden at Kembla Grange back in November, while she picked up where she left off with an eye-catching performance to get up in BM64 company at Canterbury.
This is harder, but she’s open to plenty of natural improvement and gets the services of James McDonald this time.

PICTOR resumes in a winnable race at Rosehill.
The Written Tycoon colt hasn’t been seen at the races since November, but he turned in some excellent efforts last time in, breaking his maiden at Randwick-Kensington, while he was far from disgraced when fourth in Listed company on Melbourne Cup Day.
With the benefit of a couple of trials under his belt, he can hit the ground running on Wednesday.
