The 3YO colt looked good across the Tasman when winning at Group 1 level last start, which came emphatically by 4.5 lengths. It’s not easy to win at the top level by that margin, so he has stacks of ability.

The colt by I Am Invincible has been given time to get over that tough run, having not raced since March, and he looks ready to show up on race day. There is some risk involved with backing him on a heavy track, but being based in NZ, he should be used to racing in the wet.

He got back in the run and had no room to move in the straight, so he could be unbeaten if luck was on his side.

OBAMBULATE (2) could be the colt going under the radar despite winning his last two starts. He won at Pakenham before scoring at Caulfield last start in heavy conditions, which is a key betting guide to this race.

The son of Tiger of Malay was far too good for them in heavy conditions, scoring by 2.3 lengths, and if he can repeat that effort, he’s fit enough to beat this field on Saturday.
