GENESIS RUNNER (3) is yet to strike in three runs back this time but hasn’t been far away at any of those appearances, including an agonizingly close second behind Wonka in last week’s Dulcify Stakes at Randwick.
The extra furlong suits and from a nice low draw, this looks his chance to go one better in the Gloaming Stakes 2026.

Having ended her last prep an agonizingly close second in Group 1 company, BRIDAL WALTZ (4) picked up where she left off when second behind an outstanding Oliveanotherday in The Heath 1100.
She was again only just denied by Point Barrow in the How Now Stakes over this route second up from a spell, but she has drawn far better than that rival this week, and looks well placed to turn the tables in the Northwood Plume Stakes.
SATONO GLOW (9) stamped herself as one to follow by winning two of three starts during her debut preparation but returned to action with an even stronger performance to win the Cap D’Antibes at Flemington last month.
Having been kept up to the mark with a trial since that race, she won her only other second up target so far and as the field’s sole filly, she takes weight from every other horse engaged in this year’s Roman Consul Stakes field.
WARWOVEN (6) has always shown above-average ability, but after returning to winning form with a sharp performance in the Run To The Rose second up from a spell, he was nothing short of dominant to claim his first Group 1 feature in the Golden Rose a fortnight ago.
With one eye with taking his place in the Ladbrokes Cox Plate field, he gets out to the mile for the first time, and with regular hoop Rachel King aboard, he can go on with it in the 2026 Caulfield Guineas.
