FEHMARN (1) is in great form this preparation, winning two of his past three starts, including last start at Cranbourne.
The Rebecca Waymouth-trained gelding has won three of four over 1000m and two of three on heavy tracks.
He should appreciate the return to his preferred distance and handles rain-affected going well.
He maps to lead and can take plenty of catching.

| Form hard to fault. Last start favourite; tracked the speed and boxed on steadily; won by 0.5 len in a Bm62 at Cranbourne on October 9 over 1000m defeating Presscode carrying 59kg at $3.40. Before that raced on the speed and boxed on steadily 4th of 8 in a Bm66 at Sandown-Hillside on September 9 over 1000m, slow going 1.4 len behind Jakivy carrying 60kg at $5.50. Sets up very well to win again. | |||
TEN COMMANDMENTS (5) should appreciate returning to a mile after finishing fifth over 1400m at Flemington last start, where he battled on after being shifted out near the 250m.
The Ciaron Maher-trained gelding won over 1600m at Ballarat two starts ago, scoring by 2.5 lengths.
He has an excellent wet-track record, with two wins from three starts on heavy going.
He should settle handy and, back to a preferred distance on rain-affected ground, can be in the finish.

| At the latest run 5th of 11 in the LR Paris Lane Stakes at Flemington on October 3 over 1400m, on a wet track; 3 len behind Cote Atlantique carrying 54.5kg at $2.40. The race before that favourite; won by 2.5 len in a Gold Nugget at Ballarat on September 18 over 1600m defeating Al Duca with 57kg at $3.20. Bit flat last time but the win two back reads very well. | |||
WETUMPKA (12) is unbeaten at this track, having won here over 1206m first-up.
The Peter Gelagotis-trained gelding finished a close third at Seymour last start after racing in the inferior going.
He has also won his only previous start over this course and distance and has an excellent wet-track record.

| Third-up today and won third-up in the past. First-up favourite; won by 2.75 len in a Bm62 at this track on September 13 over 1206m defeating Fast Freddie carrying 60.5kg at $2.15. Second run from a spell raced on speed throughout when 3rd of 13 in a Bm70 at Seymour on October 11 over 1400m, on a slow track; 0.9 len behind Lofty Thoughts carrying 58.5kg at $2.45. Peaks now and should go close. | |||
ELECTRIC ELVIS (10) is racing in consistent form and should appreciate the rise in distance.
The Reece Goodwin-trained gelding got too far back at Seymour last start but hit the line strongly after being shifted out and running wide.
He has a good wet-track record, with three wins and four seconds from seven starts.
With the extra distance likely to suit, he is one of the main hopes.

| Form hard to fault. Most recently 2nd of 14 in a Bm74 at Seymour on October 11 over 1100m, slow going head behind Educated carrying 57.5kg at $9. The start before that 2nd of 7 in a Bm66 at Bendigo on August 26 over 1400m, on heavy track; 0.8 len behind Invisible Magic with 61.5kg at $1.40. Flying and can figure prominently again. | |||
