EPL Teams

Liverpool is the early all-in favourite 2025/26 EPL team to go back-to-back

2025/26 PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS ODDS

Each Premier League season runs from August to May the following year and 20 teams compete in the competition. The EPL clubs change from year-to-year, but there are always 20 clubs in the competition.EPL Teams

The stable and consistent teams tend to remain in the Premier League each season based on rankings, decided by points achieved during the 38 week competition that in the end determines the EPL Champions. Premier League clubs facing off in the current season are made up by the top 17 ranked teams from the past season – the lowest three ranked teams relegated to the Football League Championship – along with the promotion of the top two Championship clubs and the winner of the Championship Playoffs.

The two teams that finished highest on the Football League Championship the previous season move up into the current EPL competition and the third team is Championship playoff winner. Since the inception of the English Premier League competition in 1992, a total of 49 clubs have competed as of the 2020/21 season.

Only six of those teams have been Premier League members every season with Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur. Just seven EPL clubs have won the title (since 1992) led by Manchester United being crowned a total of 13 times.

The other teams to win the competition are Chelsea (5), Arsenal (3), Manchester City (8), Blackburn Rovers (1), Leicester City (1) who took out the 2015-16 title after starting the season as 5000/1 outsiders in Premier League betting, and Liverpool (2) who secured their first Premier League championship in the 2019-20 season.
