Hobartville Stakes Tips
Looking at the spring form the previous season of the horses in the mix is a great Hobartville Stakes betting tip.
Also checking for Group 1 performers, proven Sydney winners and three-year-olds that have run up to a mile can help in sorting the best Hobartville Stakes tips to lock in.
The set weights conditions of the race favour the classiest gallopers in the field, while watching the form of lead-up races like the Eskimo Prince Stakes and Expressway Stakes can prove good Hobartville Stakes betting tips to take to the bookies.
2022 Hobartville Stakes Tips
The insider Ladbrokes’ Hobartville Stakes 2022 tips will be listed right here the week of the race so stay tuned for the three-year-old Randwick Guineas types to back and sack this Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.
- To Win: #1 Anamoe ($1.75 at time of publish)
If you’re looking for value, this year’s Hobartville is not it. Anamoe was beaten first-up when third in the Group 2 Expressway Stakes but he’ll be keen to atone and all signs point towards that happening. He is odds-on and deserving of the short quote, presenting fitter second-up with Hugh Bowman coming aboard. Yet to win at Rosehill, but not because he doesn’t like the track. His Golden Rose second by a neck was excellent last spring and getting up to 1400m here, the reigning Caulfield Guineas champ is the one to beat.
Hobartville Stakes Form Guide
The Hobartville Stakes has proven a key form guide to follow for tougher Group 1 races during the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival in recent years.
2013 Hobartville Stakes winner Pierro went on to win the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) before his second in the Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m), while both Dissident (2014) and Hallowed Crown (2015) took out the Randwick Guineas for their respective seasons.
The Hobartville Stakes form stacked-up in the Randwick Guineas from 2013 – 2019 with all seven winners of the Group 1 coming off the lead-up.
The latest Hobartville Stakes winner to take out the Randwick Guineas next start was The Autumn Sun in 2019 who also won the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m).
The colts and geldings also have a far better Hobartville Stakes winning record than the fillies.
