First run in 1984, the Kevin Hayes Stakes has held Group 3 status since 2014 and plenty of nice fillies have won the Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival showdown including the subsequent ill-fated 2010 Australian Racehorse of the Year Typhoon Tracy (2009).

- To Win: #9 Tonkin ($4.80 at time of publish) – BET NOW
Really competitive field of 3YO fillies facing off in the last on Orr Day and have Tonkin on top for Anthony & Sam Freedman. The wonderfully bred daughter of Blue Point has won two of her three starts to date when going back-to-back in Victoria first and second up last month. Her latest performance was superb as Tonkin put a commanding 4.5 lengths on La Vie En over 1000m at Moonee Valley. It may have only been a BenchMark 64 event but it certainly suggested she is in for a big prep. Comes back from 57.5kg to 56kg here for the Group 3, Mark Zahra comes aboard and they’ll get things there way from barrier five.
