Trained by Charlotte Littlefield and ridden by Ben Allen, the five-year-old mare bounced back from a disappointing first-up run after overcoming foot and muscle issues, with Littlefield dedicating the win to the mare’s dam, who had passed away days earlier. Allen praised her adaptability and hinted she could be Group 1-bound, while Littlefield credited her small but mighty team for the turnaround, calling the win a proud moment for their operation.

The Northwood Plume Stakes is a Group 3 sprint race for mares contested on Caulfield Guineas Day at Caulfield Racecourse in mid-October each Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. The meeting features three Group 1 races including the Caulfield Guineas (1600m) for three-year-old milers.
The other majors on the card are the Group 1 Might And Power Stakes (2000m) and the Group 1 Toorak Handicap (1600m). Along with the three elite levels there are also two Group 2 support acts with the Schillaci Stakes (1100m) for sprinters and the Herbert Power Stakes run over the mile and a half (2400m).
