UFC odds are those betting markets on offer for the action-packed Mixed Martial Arts bouts contested as part of the sport’s greatest organisation. There has been over 300 UFC events since it was founded in 1993 and each grows in media coverage, attendance, viewing records and bets placed on the events.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) betting takes place on the UFC Fight Night cards and The Ultimate Fighter, which is a TV show featuring up-and-coming MMA fighters facing off for a lucrative UFC contract.
Continually growing in popularity and attracting more and more fans, the UFC has broken pay-per-view records and generates more betting revenue as an overall sport than boxing. There are plenty of UFC odds on offer for every bout including standard head-to-head markets on the overall winner.
UFC Bet Types
Other popular UFC bet types are detailed below.
UFC Victories By Decision
This means the fight will end in a Judge’s Decision and depends on scoring. Punters can tip a split / majority decision for each fighter, or a unanimous decision for each fighter. There’s also UFC betting open on the fight to end in a draw with big prices on offer on this unlikely result.
UFC Odds on Fight Duration
As well as the overall UFC champion of a bout, punters can tip how long the fight will last. UFC odds are offered for the duration to go 1 – 5 Rounds depending on the fight’s position on the card. A ‘Main Event’ fight lasts for a maximum of Five Rounds, and markets go up on the fight duration going the ‘Full Distance’.
UFC Method of Victory
The same as how the UFC fight will finish, but UFC odds are offered for each method of victory for each of the two fighters. For example, Nate Diaz to defeat his opponent by Decision, Submission, TKO/Knockout or the fight to be judged as a draw.
UFC Round Betting
These are UFC markets offered per round. For example, UFC Fighter A to win the fight via a stoppage in Round 1 or UFC Fighter B to finish the fight via a stoppage in Round 2.
How UFC Fight Will Finish
How a UFC match finishes can happen a number of different ways. Prices are offered on a Decision / Submission, when a fighter taps out; a Knockout (KO) or a Technical Knockout (TKO) decided by the referee.
