It is possibly the busiest weekend of the year with a full calendar of racing and sports action ready to take you into October.
First and foremost, the showpiece events for the AFL and NRL headline the sporting calendar with West Coast and Collingwood taking to the hallowed MCG turf for the AFL Premiership on Saturday before the Roosters try to thwart the Storm’s bid for back to back NRL Premierships on Sunday.
Four straight days of excellent racing are on the cards this weekend as well, starting with Grand Final Eve at The Valley and concluding with Royal Randwick Day on Sydney’s public holiday Monday.
On top of that there is the regular feast of overseas action including the Rugby Championship, NFL and Baseball.
If that isn’t enough the Premier League weekend is headlined by a genuine blockbuster fixture between Liverpool and Chelsea in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Read on for a rundown of just what’s on to help fill up your calendar.
