PUNTERS PAL

South Sydney was the enemy of punters in round one but they have quickly gotten back on their good side. The Bunnies backed up their opening win over the Roosters with a victory over the Dragons where they showed no sign of being weighed down by the mountain of money wagered on them to do just that. All in all, it was a good weekend for punters with 7 of 8 favourites winning and all of them covering the line.

BOOKIE’S BEST

The West Tigers are a surprise competition leader and they are also number one in the bookies heart after round two. Their upset win over the Warriors was a tough pill to swallow for punters who’d backed the boys from across the ditch to get the job done at Campbelltown.

TRY HARDER

The usual suspects were at it again in a majority of games at the weekend with the likes of Bronco Corey Oates ($7), Storm’s Suliasi Vunivalu ($8), Shark Sione Katoa ($9) and Rooster Brett Morris ($9) all scoring first try with plenty of money behind them.

Perhaps punters will get behind Cameron Murray this week. He’s been the first try scorer in South Sydney’s opening two matches, last week at $34 and this week at $29.

LONG SHOT LANDING

Two astute Ladbrokes clients plonked $50 each on Cronulla’s Sione Katoa Try scorer Exacta (same player to score first two tries of the game) at $71.

BACKING THE FUTURE PREMIERSHIP MOVES
