Sri Lanka have wrapped up the series but it isn’t over for our Aussies. They will look to finish the series on a positive note before the Test series begins.

Charith Asalanka was the star of the show in Game 4, belting a match high 110 off 106 deliveries to not only secure his side the win but score himself the Man of the Match nod.

David Warner gave it everything he could to try and guide the Aussies to a win but fell just short exposing the Aussie tail and unfortunately seeing us fall short by 4 runs.

Can the Aussies save a bit of face and finish the series 3-2? Or will Sri Lanka at home just be too good?

Here are my tips for the Fifth ODI.

Sri Lanka Vs Australia

Friday 24th June, 7:00pm, R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo

Given that this is the last opportunity for the players to adjust to the Sri Lankan conditions before the Test matches begin. I would imagine that our batting line up with feature as many red ball players as possible. Steve Smith should be returning from injury and will be desperate for a little tune up before he throws the whites on. Labuschagne will also be looking to put on a big score considering he has not really fired this series.

Marnus is averaging a dismal 21.25 this series and I am tipping him to bounce back from this form slump now that the pressure is off. His over/under is 27.5 and I’m backing Marnie to go over that by a big way. Marnus to score a 50 is currently at $3 and I think that’s pretty good value. He won’t be averaging 21 for long.

Back Marnus Labuschagne over 27.5 runs @ $1.83

If I have to pick a Sri Lankan player to cheer for. I’m going to go with Opening Batsmen Pathum Nissanka. He’s averaging 55 this series and has both a 50 and a 100 to his name already.

He’s a huge shout to go over his 25.5 run line. He’s done so in half of the games this series and I’m just not liking the bowling attack and the tactics that the Aussie’s have rolled out so far this series. I can’t imagine in a game where the series is already lost that things are going to improve for our bowlers.

Back Parthum Nisanka over 25.5 runs @ $1.83

My Travis Head tip didn’t get up in Game 4 but it was a very different situation he was asked to come out and bat in. Chasing a total and looking to support Warner.

I’m going to stick with Heady and I’m backing him to atleast score a half century. He is a gun batsmen who needs a bit of time on a sub continent deck and even though he’s down the order. I think he’ll get enough time to bat and I reckon he will cash in. I look forward to seeing him raise the bat.

Back Travis Head to score 50+ Runs @ $3.50
