Daily Racing Tips – Saturday, 22nd October

The Valley - Race 3 12:25pm AEDT
No. 2 Sweet Ride

Sweet Ride is one of the best bets of the day in the Red Anchor Stakes.

He showed his quality when he won the San Domenico Stakes first-up and he has followed that up with excellent efforts in the Run To The Rose and the Roman Consul Stakes.

The Red Anchor Stakes is a genuine drop in quality and on exposed form he does have a genuine class edge over the rest of this field.

Any rain isn’t an issue for him and he does have tactical versatility.

The Valley - Race 4 1:00pm AEST
No. 3 Willinga Beast

Willinga Beast is clearly the horse to beat in the Crockett Stakes.

She has form around some of the best fillies in the country and her runs in the Silver Shadow Stakes, Furious Stakes, Tea Rose Stakes and the Roman Consul Stakes have all been full of merit.

This is a genuine drop in quality and on exposed form she does look to have a genuine edge over the rest of this field.

Barrier seven is ideal and she will have every possible chance in the run.

The Valley - Race 7 2:45pm AEDT
No. 1 Berkeley Square
Tip of the Day

Berkeley Square is deserving of his status as a dominant favourite in Moonee Valley Vase betting.

He has worked his way through the grades in impressive fashion and he clearly brings the strongest form into this contest.

His fast-finishing win in the Exford Plate was nothing short of outstanding and he was a touch unlucky last start in the Caulfield Guineas.

He looks as though he is crying out for 2040 metres and Craig Williams will be able to settle him closer to the speed from barrier seven.

The Valley - Race 9 4:10pm AEDT
No. 10 Anamoe

Anamoe is deserving of his status as a clear favourite in Cox Plate betting and he can go one better than he did in the race last year.

He simply hasn’t put a foot wrong this campaign.

The way that he put away his rivals in the Winx Stakes first-up suggested that he was in for a big campaign and he followed that up with another good win in the George Main Stakes.

His victory in The Might And Power was even better and it is tough to see how any of his rivals in that race can turn-the-tables on him.

He wobbled around the Caulfield turn and was still able to savage the line, while he has already shown that he can handle The Valley.

Barrier four is the perfect barrier for him and James McDonald will be able to stalk what should be a good speed in the early stages.
