Round 20 gets underway this weekend. With only two months left of regular season fixtures, are we starting to see the final ladder taking shape?
Newcastle and Macarthur sit just 1 win out of the finals and seem to be keeping pressure on the top sides. Western United could be hitting some form at the right time too. Two wins in a row, has their finals run started?
We’re set from some pretty big matchups once again this round and as always, I have your back for tips.

Perth have scored a bit of Friday night footy action, while it does start late for us on the east coast, it lines up pretty well with the end of the rugby league, which means you can stretch out your Friday night sporting committments just that little bit longer.
The Glory have been very good at home this season, in my opinion I think that has a lot to do with jet lag and the amount of late games they play.
This game will be finishing up at midnight body time for the Wanderers.
Yes WSW are second on the ladder and have only lost 4 games this year but I like Perth at home, the timezone is almost a 12th man on the field for them.

Are the Mariners running out of steam?
After their massive start to the season, they’ve only won one game in their last five and are beginning to tumble down the ladder.
Macarthur haven’t been much better but will be pretty revved up after their late win against the Roar.
The Mariners are quite short to win here at $1.58 compared to the Bulls’ $4.80. Macarthur FC has lost each of its last four A-League away matches and at odds that big the bookies probably have it right.

They’ve lost two in a row and I’d imagine the Newy Jets will have their back up against the wall once again when they take on 3rd placed Adelaide United on Saturday night.
United are $2.40 to get the three points and are unbeaten in their last five starts, a price that seems like a great price for arguably the form team in the comp right now.
The ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ market has hit in seven of the last eight A-League matches between Newcastle and Adelaide so fireworks should be expected.

The Sky Blues will travel to Eden Park on Sunday afternoon for a matchup against the Phoenix.
Historically not a great ground for Australians however Sydney are ever so slight favourites in this match $2.45 to $2.55.
Sydney FC has lost four of its last five A-League away matches following a win and given that they are playing at Eden Park, I’m sticking with the Kiwis here.

Brisbane are $6.75 to win and could very easily be staring at the wooden spoon by the end of the weekend.
Melbourne City has won each of its last 15 A-League home matches following a loss and ‘Over 3.5 Goals’ market has hit in each of Melbourne City’s last six A-League matches.
I can’t imagine Brisbane will score many here, backing a big win to City.

We get a bit of Monday night footy this round and it’s a Victorian Derby too!
The Victory open as $1.90 favourites despite being on the bottom of the ladder which makes this and even hard match for me to pick.
Melbourne Victory has lost four of its last five A-League night matches as a favourite and I honestly don’t see them getting up in this one despite them being favoured by the bookies. I’m with United.
