ETERNAL WARRIOR (2) is an early market mover for the boys’ Blue Diamond Prelude and I’m happy to be on the money trail for this still over-priced juvenile.
The Extreme Warrior colt saluted here in the Listed Merson Cooper on debut back in late November last year at a ridiculous price and, while the winning margin was only a nostril flare, he did enough to suggest he’ll come on fitter and stronger this prep.
Solid lead-up trial at the Heath track in the interim, and I like Damian Lane – who rode him for that sharp hit-out – coming aboard on race day.
Will settle back from the gate but has the ability to run over the top of them late and remain unbeaten.

HIGH ALERT (5) racing second-up is out to break his maiden status and he’s an early market mover for Team Freedman.
Craig Williams knows how to get the best out of any horse and partners this promising Street Boss colt for the first time.
Luke Currie rode him on debut at Caulfield only on January 24 in the Preview when under a length back fourth to Alibaba in a run full of merit with zero luck.
He never got a look in during the Preview, stuck away in traffic in a messy run and only seeing daylight when it was all over — yet he still charged late.
That effort is easy to forgive, and he deserves another shot despite the form around that race being a touch questionable.

The Tony & Calvin McEvoy-trained trained youngster is a daughter of the 2020 Blue Diamond champ Tagaloa so is bred for this.
She saluted in Adelaide on debut by a big margin in early December before keeping the wins coming with her equally eye-catching two-length romp home in the Geelong Diamond at the start of January.
Kept fit with a subsequent trial at that same track and has Luke Currie sticking with for her toughest assignment yet.
A wide-open race, she’s got the record and the pedigree, will thrive on the Good going, and from a likely mid-field position looks a strong chance to race away late like she did last time out putting herself in the frame for the Group 1 on Feb 21.

RUBI’S CHOICE (10) is widely-drawn but not without support in the markets to remain undefeated and complete the Preview – Prelude double.
She went around at any old price on debut before making up ground from midfield to put nearly a length on the next best over the line in what is a key form reference for this Group 2.
She isn’t currently nominated for the Diamond, but after that professional “sit and steer” Preview victory, the connections are surely considering reaching for the chequebook. She reeled them in from fourth at the turn and looked like she had two gears left.
She’s safer in the markets now but still shapes up as potential value second-up and a danger from the Greg Eurell stable.
