Redcliffe Harness Preview – Friday 29th May

FOURTY ONE GEE (5) ran a very impressive race two starts ago behind Tilly Dunnage who looks a smart mare and Magic Miki. This looks considerably easier than that outing two starts ago. He should be able to find a position on speed and should be hard to beat.  

JUSTROLLINGAROUND (7) was forced to race without cover last time out in a race taken out by Shereacts last start at this track. She looks likely to get a much more economical run this time inside the back row and will just need luck at the right time to get into the race.  

LULU LUCIFER (1) sat close to the speed last time out and finished fourth in a race taken out by Dual Cam who rated track record time when winning. This race looks a lot easier and she has the speed to hold before having options from there.   

ASHLEE NITRO (9) was shuffled a long way back last time out and was well beaten but didn’t have the race run to suit there. She is never far away at this track and just needs the race run upside down to allow her to run into it late from off the speed.

SUGGESTED BET: FOURTY ONE GEE (5) to win.  

SO MANY MOMENTS (6) hit the line strongly late last start when just falling short in a race taken out by Kerbang. She enjoys racing over the 2040 and despite the outside front row draw she looks very well placed. She should run well again.  

MAYWYN TROUBADOUR (9) has finished second in his latest two outings including two starts ago when doing work in the run and continuing to run on late in a race taken out by Mitchells Run at Albion Park. He looks likely to get a good run close enough to the speed.  

PENNIE PACKER (7) should get a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse in this race. She started from a poor draw last time out and was running on well late into fourth.  

RACANA (1) has plenty of gate speed and is capable at her best. She comes into this race first up from a spell and holds the key to the map in the early stages. She can run well if ready to go first up.

SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYN TROUBADOUR (9) to win.  

REAL TIN TIN (1) scored an excellent win last start sitting outside the leader and rating good time for the grade. He has very good gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead in the early stages. He looks suited.  

KERBANG (7) was able to score a last stride victory last time out when getting back in the run and finishing best. He looks likely to get a good run through early in this race on the back of Real Tin Tin and should be thereabouts again.  

IM BOO (3) was forced to race without cover last time out at Albion Park battling on strongly for fourth in a race taken out by Happy As Can Be who secured a good run off the speed. He should be able to find a prominent position in this race and can run well again.  

B MAC C (8) drew awkwardly inside the back row at Marburg and just never got a look at them the whole way up the home straight in a race won dominantly by Dual Cam. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and it looks a race which could generate a strong tempo.  

SELECTIONS: REAL TIN TIN (1), KERBANG (7), IM BOO (3), B MAC C (8) 

SUGGESTED BET: B MAC C (8) each way.  

TAYLORS FOUR (1) was able to drive through and find the leaders back last time out behind Rolling Bonus at Marburg and finished off nicely once into the clear running second. She doesn’t have a huge amount of gate speed which could be a query from gate 1.  

SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (3) has bounced back to nearer his better form in recent starts. He was able to score back to back wins three and four starts ago when leading all the way. He may have the speed to work across to the lead and would be hard to beat if he did.  

MAHINDI (9) was able to score a good Trot Rods win last start when simply proving too good after sitting outside the leader. She draws to do no work early this time and should run another good race.  

PRINCE JOY (6) usually does his best work when able to sit up on speed. He finished fourth last time out after breezing but ran a very good race to not be beaten far at all behind Kerbang.  

SELECTIONS: TAYLORS FOUR (1), SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (3), MAHINDI (9), PRINCE JOY (6) 

SUGGESTED BET: TAYLORS FOUR (1) to win.  

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (1) hasn’t been racing with a lot of luck in recent outings including last start when drawing poorly at Marburg and being shuffled a long way back early. She usually runs her best races out in front and the last time she was able to lead she proved too good at Marburg five starts ago.  

KEAYANG TARA (2) got back in the run last start and hit the line strongly late to get into second behind Miss Hattie. She draws very well again in this race to be straight in the running line early. She should get a good run and will be hard to hold out late.  

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8) should get a good run into the race on the back of his stablemate Keayang Tara. He drew poorly last start at Redcliffe got a long way back before running through the line late.  

PLAYFUL MISS (10) worked forward last start and just couldn’t quite run down Betting Baron in the concluding stages who was able to lead. She had led and won well in her start prior and looks suited again in this company.   

SELECTIONS: DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (1), KEAYANG TARA (2), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8), PLAYFUL MISS (10) 

SUGGESTED BET:  ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8) each way. 

MY SCIMITAR (3) was able to slide across into a position in the running line when first up from a spell last start at Albion Park. He hit the line quite well late there to run third behind Whykikamoocow. He should be able to work forward in this race and looks hard to beat second up from a spell. 

LETS TORQUEABOUTIT (9) worked to the position outside the leader last time out battling on well for fourth over the 1780 behind Designer Jewel in a race which appeared to have some depth to it. He may need to do the work again and should be thereabouts.   

NEED NOT TO WARRY (4) was shuffled back in the early stages last time out from an inside back row draw over the 1780 at this track. He ran through the line nicely late behind Shes My mistake which looks a reasonable form reference for this race.  

OHOKAREDROBINJUJON (7) should get a reasonable run through in the early stages. He is one of the class runners of the field but does come into the race first up off just a moderate trial. He may derive benefit from the run and will need luck at the right time. 

SELECTIONS: MY SCIMITAR (3), LETS TORQUEABOUTIT (9), NEED NOT TO WARRY (4), OHOKAREDROBINJUJON (7) 

SUGGESTED BET: MY SCIMITAR (3) to win.  

IAM HUGO (6) sat without cover last time out and found it tough when well beaten by Sitting On Eight. He had run well his start prior leading and rating good time in defeat. If he could use his front row draw to find a prominent position he should be hard to beat. 

STUNNING STRANGER (7) draws awkwardly inside the back row in this race. He was powering home late last start when just missing behind Checkingoutthebill. He is likely to need some luck from the inside back row draw and looks to have strong claims if that luck comes.  

MIGHTY CRUNCH (4) raced without luck last time out when checked at a crucial stage. He was good when first up from a spell not beaten too far by Sitting On Eight. He should be nearing peak fitness third up from a spell and draws to advantage over the main chances.   

NOTIONS (2) ran well in a recent trial behind Tweedy who has since won. She draws well on return for a new stable and may be one that’s worth keeping safe.  

SELECTIONS: IAM HUGO (6), STUNNING STRANGER (7), MIGHTY CRUNCH (4), NOTIONS (2) 

DUSTY MUSTER (9) was able to find the lead last time out before handing over to Tweedy over the 2040 at this track. That was quite a strong restricted win race taken out by Tweedy over stablemate Tiger Shirl with Dusty Muster battling on well for third in reasonable time for the grade.  

KINGSBURY (7) worked hard to attempt to hold the lead early last time out and was beaten a long way in the end. He should get a more economical run this time in what looks to be an easier race.   

VICTREE BUSTA (3) went around in a recent trial at Marburg scoring a good win there. He should settle close enough from a good draw in this race and should be running on at the finish.  

PLAYING FOR KEEPS (8) was driven quietly last start and ran on well into fourth behind Tweedy. She looks well placed from a soft trailing draw and should be running on late.  

SELECTIONS: DUSTY MUSTER (9), KINGSBURY (7), VICTREE BUSTA (3), PLAYING FOR KEEPS (8) 

SUGGESTED BET: DUSTY MUSTER (9) to win.  

JOVIAL JODI (3) ran well last start when sitting without cover at this track and battling on well for third behind Wave Of Delight. She is likely to have derived benefit from that outing and should be hard to beat if she can find the lead in this race.   

PATORI (4) sat without cover last time out at Albion Park in a heat of the Breeders Classic series when fading out of it late to finish last. She drops right back in grade into this race and should be competitive with the right run.  

STAY DANCING (7) has had two runs back from a spell in this campaign and should be nearing peak fitness third up. She was checked and made a break last time out at Marburg losing all chance.  

ORION ART (1) led last start and may not have been suited when setting a genuine tempo throughout before fading right out of it late. With a more economical run this time he can run a better race.
