The Listed Bob Charley AO Stakes headlines ten races at Royal Randwick this Saturday, June 6th.
With some rain continuing to fall on Sydney in patches this week, the track is rated in the Soft (7) range at publish, while the rail will be set out three metres around the entire course.
You can find my Randwick best bets below!
There isn’t a lot of form to study ahead of the first at Randwick this week, but Lady Catalina is one that looks to have some claims at nice odds.
Lady Catalina won on debut at Newcastle back in March, while she’s improved for two runs back from a freshen up, including an eye-catching third in the Listed Woodlands Stakes last time out.
At around the $9 mark (at publish), we can have an each way play.

Perfect Justice is second up and open to improvement at Randwick this week.
He was a consistent performer at this level last time in, and he was undoubtedly doing his best work through the line over 1400m here first up last month, finishing just over half a length behind the winner.
With natural improvement, getting further out in trip and with some relief in the weights again, I think he gets plenty of ticks.

Wayburn has returned to the races in smart form and rates as a key chance in this week’s Highway race.
The Yes Yes Yes gelding mustered a strong turn of speed to finish over the top at Ipswich two back, while he replicated that performance to only just miss here a fortnight ago, finishing a photo second behind Exit Fee.
He steps out this week in peak order and looks perfectly placed to go one better.

Nasebah is in winning form and should only improve at Randwick this week.
She’s only made three appearances at the races since debuting, but Nasebah has quickly stamped herself as one to follow by winning twice; highlighted by her dominant effort in BM64 company on the Kensington course here when resuming.
With improvement, dropping in the weights and options in the run from the rails draw, I’m confident she can continue her journey through the grades.

Sunsprite is another one that has returned in top form this time and looks well placed to win again.
The classy daughter of The Autumn Sun has actually only missed placing once in five trips to the races since debuting, and she strips fitter this week for a nice performance when third over 1800m here a fortnight ago; her first run for a month.
A low draw is beneficial, as is Braith Nock’s claim.

Big Red Tequila resumes in a nice race this week.
We haven’t seen the Shamus Award mare at the races since February, but she was almost faultless last time in, winning three of four starts, including her first up target, while only just denied on the other occasion.
She’s had the benefit of a couple of trials ahead of this return and looks forward enough to win.

Point And Shoot steps out this week a fit horse and a key winning chance at nice odds ($8.50 at publish).
He’s been a good horse for the Baker yard for a few seasons now, and Point And Shoot returned to action with a fine performance to get up in BM94 company at Scone in April.
He was too bad to be true in the Wagga Town Plate second up from a spell, but bounced back with a near miss in the Listed Luskin Star last time out.
He holds that kind of form, and I think he’ll take a power of beating in something like this.

Accredited resumes in the feature and looks a great chance in an open field.
Accredited raced consistently without winning last time in, finding form around the likes of Coal Crusher and Yorkshire in races like The Hunter and the Festival Stakes.
He’s raced well on a rain-affect track, boasts an excellent fresh record and an ability edge over several key rivals.

Chris Waller holds a typically strong hand in the penultimate on Bob Charley Stakes Day including God’s Window, who I’ve got on top.
God’s Window dusted off the cobwebs with a fair performance to finish fourth, beaten just pover a length in a BM100 contest here back in April, while he was five weeks into a nice win over this route a fortnight ago.
He strips fitter for that, is proven under the conditions and can certainly go on with it.
| 6. God’s Window (4) J: Siena Grima 56.5kg 25×41T: Chris Waller |
Nitro is the one for me in the last.
The Peter Snowden-trained gelding is yet to miss placing in four trips to the races, and he returned to action with a fine effort to only just miss behind Lightning Glory.
He’s another one that has plenty of upside on this Randwick program and taking weight from most of them, I think he’s going to take beating.
