I’m keen to be with My Boy Bingo in tonight’s Ladbrokes Brisbane Cup Prelude at The Q.
My Boy Bingo has been a strong and consistent performer for Jamie Hosking since debuting, winning fifteen races in several states, and finding his way into some of the best races in the country, including a Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase Final in 2025.
His recent form has been typically good and interestingly, Box 7 has been his winningest alley so far.

| Was a little disappointing last start, fading in the run home at this track over 600m. The start prior was at his best with a 4 length win over 600m at this track. Not keen, needs to lift. | |||
Mepunga Lara looks well placed in tonight’s Chairman’s Cup Final.
The classy daughter of Hooked On Scotch has been racing in typically consistent form recently and has missed placing just once in her last eight appearances, highlighted by a dominant win over 715m at The Gardens.
From Box 3, I think she’ll be able to find a prominent enough position in the run before calling on her turn of speed late.

| Has hit the frame the last two starts, the latest at double figure odds when third (37.68) over 660m at Bendigo. Has a low draw. One of the better hopes. | |||
In my opinion, Magpie Hector is just the best dog in tonight’s State Of Origin Stayers Final, and I have him on top.
He’s always shown above-average ability, but Magpie Hector really has gone to a new level this year, claiming three Group 1 victories most notably, whilst also placing in races like the Ladbrokes Country Classic.
He’s won five from eight when leaving from the extreme outside and with even luck in the run, he’ll be typically hard to beat.

| Nearing another win after his success on April 24 at The Gardens over 715m. Last start was second over 715m in 41.82, behind Ayden’s Warrior. Excellent record from this box, including five wins. Go well. | |||
The Queenslanders can certainly strike back in the State Of Origin Sprint when Neame leaves from Box 2.
Neame has enjoyed something of a meteoric rise to prominence, winning 16 of 25 starts, placing a further seven times and finding form around some excellent opposition.
From the low draw, I think he’ll lob up front again tonight and make all of his own luck.

| Scored by 1.3 lengths last time (30.08) in a Grade 4/5 over 520m at this track. Boasts two wins and two places from four starts off the draw. Leading player. | |||
