Warwick Farm: Race 5
No. 5 Satono Jasmine

Satono Jasmine stripped fitter through some competitive performances earlier this prep before recording a dominant four-length victory in maiden company up at Gosford last month.

Having since franked that effort with another stylish victory in BM64 company, she does face another obvious rise in class this afternoon but steps out in peak order, and the manner of those two recent victories suggested something of this quality won’t be beyond her either.

Chasing a hat-trick. Most recently won by 4 len at Hawkesbury Bm64 July 2 over 1600m on a rain affected track defeating Squeezebox carrying 57kg at $4.60. The start before that won by 4 len at Gosford Prov Mdn-Sw June 18 over 1600m in heavy going defeating Sirius Moss with 57kg at $3.30. In great form and should be right in the thick of things again.

Grafton: Race 6
No. 3 Rustemo

Rustemo recorded three victories in succession when resuming this year, while he was last seen filling the minors behind Cellarmaster and Platinum Pantheon in the Group 3 Winx Guineas.

Stepping out this afternoon in peak order and facing what looks to be a clear drop in class, he looks tough to beat in the Grafton Guineas.

Recent form sound. At the latest run 3rd of 14 at Sunshine Coast in the G3 Winx Guineas on July 4 over 1600m, on a slow track; 1.5 len behind Cellarmaster carrying 57kg at $8.50. The start before that came from midfield and won by 0.8 len at Sunshine Coast Bm65 June 21 over 1400m in soft going defeating Aliquam carrying 58kg at $2.40. Warwick Farm: Race 6
No. 8 Jarrito

Jarrito has won two of five starts since debuting including an easy effort in BM64 company at Randwick-Kensington when resuming this time, while she was last seen finishing just over half a length behind the winner in a substantially stronger Saturday metro contest.

Fitter third-up and back to the midweeks, she’ll be tough to beat in a race like this one.

Grafton: Race 7
No. 4 Pereille

Pereille is yet to strike in four runs back from a break, but there is no doubt that he has continued to improve with each start, and he was undoubtedly doing his best work through the line when third in the Group 3 WJ Healy Stakes last month, beaten just over half a length.

In peak order, the Ramornie Handicap represents a perfect black type target for him.
