STRIKING ALIBI (2) is yet to strike in two runs for Chris Waller, but after filling the minors of the Furious Stakes first up last month, she was caught in a pocket in the Tea Rose Stakes but attacked the line when finally finding clear air.
With only six other fillies engaged in the 2026 Flight Stakes field, and with James McDonald aboard, she should get every opportunity to go one better.

Multiple Group 1 winner SIR DELIUS (9) has been set for a tilt at the Ladbrokes Cox Plate, and he returned to action with a fine performance to finish on the placegetters’ heels in the Makybe Diva Stakes.
He boasts an outstanding second up record, the 2000m at Flemington is perfect for him, and he can further stamp himself as one of the country’s best by winning the 2026 Turnbull Stakes.

BESKAR (4) clearly needed his first run back to tune up, but he was excellent last time in and is a horse that tends to enjoy sharp second up improvement.
From the good draw and with James McDonald engaged, he’s well placed in a race like this one.
