It’s the final day of an eventful Premier League season, however it is shaping up as a relatively uneventful one in the grand scheme of things.
Manchester City are the champions (again), and they will be joined in the Champions League by Arsenal, Newcastle and Manchester United.
Aston Villa is in prime position to secure the Conference League place but there is at least some intrigue surrounding the relegation battle.
Two of Everton, Leicester and Leeds will go down to the Championship and whichever one survives will feel incredibly fortunate considering just how poor all three of them have been all season.
The tension will be high at the home grounds of each of those clubs ahead of their final match and we’ve got you covered with our final set of previews and best bets for the 2022/2023 Premier League season.
If it wasn’t so funny, you might almost feel sorry for the Arsenal fans that allegedly shelled out £28000 for tickets to this match a few months ago when it looked like the Gunners would be celebrating a Premier League title.
Now they have to watch a team locked into second spot and with little to offer in terms of final day excitement outside of the morbid curiosity to see if their collapse has one final act.
It would perfectly sum up their last six weeks which has yielded a grand total of two wins from eight matches.
However working in their favour is that Wolves will be the second least motivated opponent they will face in that run (after Chelsea), with the visitors unlikely to move that much on the final table.
Despite the Gunners being locked into second spot, this match should mean something to them as it would allow them to end the season on a high note after several low points.
Arsenal to Win and Over 2.5 Goals @ $1.83
After Brighton’s point against Manchester City on Thursday morning (AEST), they are locked into sixth spot and can already chalk this season up as a massive success.
Villa has to win to ensure their European spot next season and their motivation will be the difference in this fixture.
They have also won the last three matches between the clubs including a 2-1 win on the South Coast prior to the World Cup break.
Aston Villa to Win @ $1.91
Brentford technically could pinch the Conference League place if they can win, plus Villa and Spurs both drop points.
Admittedly that seems unlikely, even against a City side that will have one eye on next week’s FA Cup Final against United.
Brentford will be happy to play out a tight match with neither side getting out of second gear and with all of the factors surrounding this one, the unders looks like the way to go.
Under 2.5 Goals @ $2.30
As frustrating as it will be for fans of other clubs to admit, Chelsea is going to be a lot better next season than they were in this current one.
But that means the punters have one last opportunity to take on this massively dysfunctional ensemble before Todd Boehly takes a broom to his bloated squad.
Newcastle has not won at Stamford Bridge since May 2012 and they may never have a better chance to break that run of defeats than this weekend.
Take the visitors to complete their ascent to the Premier League’s top four with a comfortable victory.
Newcastle to Win @ $2.55
Forest are safe from the drop, Crystal Palace is going to finish 11th or 12th and this is a dead rubber in every sense of the word.
This is another match that is likely to be played at a snails pace with both sides having absolutely nothing to play for beyond pride.
It’s another one that seems destined for a low scoring affair and the unders is the way to go for this pick.
Under 2.5 Goals @ $2.30
In a weekend full of dead rubbers, Everton can end the relegation race with a win over 15th placed Bournemouth.
A draw is potentially not going to be enough for the Toffees if Leicester wins and/or Leeds wins by three or more goals.
Bournemouth have stumbled to the finish line, losing their last three matches and already look to be on holidays.
They should be able to score against an opponent that has not kept a clean sheet in a month but the desperation of playing for their Premier League survival should see Everton get the job done in the end.
Everton to Win and Both Teams to Score @ $3.00
It sure seems like this will be Leeds’ Premier League swansong after two years in the top flight, they will have to go down swinging.
Having gone eight matches without a win, they probably won’t go down victorious but we should see a few goals at Elland Road.
We have seen at least four goals scored in six of their last ten and Spurs have had no shortage of goals in their fixtures as well.
That over has hit in five of their last seven and they may find a way to play with a bit more freedom considering they have not got a whole lot on the line.
Over 3.5 Goals @ $2.25
Football fans at the King Power Stadium (as well as Elland Road and Goodison Park) will have their multitasking abilities tested as they watch the match in front of them and the results at the other grounds.
The 2016 Premier League champions need a miracle to avoid the drop and quite frankly, it’s not something I’m banking on occurring.
Anything less than a win will drop them to the Championship and unfortunately for them, West Ham have a reason to not roll over.
With a European final to prepare for, the Irons will be eager to keep their momentum going and if things go badly for Leicester at Goodison Park, they may drop their heads.
When they met at this venue in 2022 it was a 2-2 draw and backing the spoils to be shared looks like the way to go.

With United backing up from their Friday morning engagement with Chelsea, this doesn’t look like it will be the most intense of contests.
There has been no shortage of unders in United’s last few matches with two or fewer goals being scored in more than half of their matches this season.
As for Fulham, it’s going to be entirely possible that they fired their last shots in their 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace and will just want to get through this game in one piece.
This has the makings of a low scoring affair and that’s where the value is in this market.

Even though this is shaping up as another dead rubber, there is one final day match every season where all hell seems to break loose and this is the one we are going to back that to unfold.
The Saints will bid farewell to the Premier League against the club they have provided so many first team players for over the last decade.
It has been a meek ending to their time in the top flight with five consecutive defeats and they have gone 12 matches without a win.
Liverpool had their winning run brought to a halt by Aston Villa but they should find a way to bounce back here.
The Reds have produced the third best goalscoring record in the Premier League heading into the final day and the Saints have one of the worst defences.
This might be the most entertaining game of the weekend and we’re going to back a very high scoring encounter for the final tip of the season.
