Daily Racing Tips – Saturday 12th September

Check out a selection of our Saturday Racing Tips for September 12th below, including Flemington best bets on Makybe Diva Stakes Day 2026 and Rosehill tips for the Run To The Rose Day meeting!

Rosehill: Race 6
No. 6 I’m Ya Huckleberry

I’M YA HUCKLEBERRY (7) was only just denied in Group 3 company on debut last year and returned to action for a dominant win in maiden company at Wyong.

While this is a clear rise in class, he has a key fitness edge over several other leading contenders in the Ming Dynasty Quality and with natural improvement, he can go on with it.

Rosehill R6 – Myplates Ming Dynasty Quality (G3)
Open Race time:
6. I’m Ya Huckleberry (7)
J: Siena Grima 53.5kg
2×1T: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott
Third race start. First start raced on the speed and boxed on steadily 2nd of 8 in the G3 Breeders’ Plate at Randwick on October 4 over 1000m, neck behind Incognito carrying 56kg at $2.70. Returned from break favourite; won by 2.5 len in a 3yo Mdn-Sw at Wyong on August 30 over 1200m defeating Never Know carrying 57kg at $1.24. Goes to a new pain barrier today, slim place chance.

Flemington: Race 6
No. 8 Sass Appeal

Having won four consecutive races at the end of her autumn prep, including both the Desirable Stakes the Kewney Stakes here at Flemington, SASS APPEAL (4) picked up where she left off with a smart performance to strike in BM100 company last month.

While a little flat second up when beaten more than three lengths at Caulfield, she’ll undoubtedly improve for that effort and getting back to HQ on Saturday.

Flemington R6 – De Bortoli Tontonan Hcp Stakes (L)
Open Race time:
8. Sass Appeal (4)
J: Logan Bates 54kg
11×14T: Danny O’brien
Third-up today and won third-up previously. First-up favourite; won by 0.8 len in a Bm100 at this track on August 1 over 1410m defeating Rise At Dawn carrying 51.5kg at $1.45. Second run from a spell sat on the speed and boxed on steadily 4th of 12 in a Bm100 at Caulfield on August 29 over 1400m, slow going 3.5 len behind Fancify with 54.5kg at $2.15. Costly latest but gets conditions to bounce back strongly here.

Rosehill: Race 7
No. 1 Lady Shenandoah

Multiple Group 1 winner LADY SHENANDOAH (10) raced in typically strong and consistent form during her autumn preparation this year, while she returned to action with a fine performance to finish fourth in the Winx Stakes.

She boasts an excellent second up record and a class edge over many of her Sheraco Stakes rivals.

Rosehill R7 – Irresistible Pools Sheraco Stakes (G2)
Open Race time:
1. Lady Shenandoah (10)
J: Kerrin Mcevoy 59kg
342×4T: Chris Waller
Second run back. First-up after four months 4th of 11 in the G1 Winx Stakes at Randwick on August 22 over 1400m, on a slow track; 4.5 len behind Autumn Glow carrying 57kg at $19. Previously second-up 3rd of 10 in the G1 Canterbury Stakes at Randwick on March 7 over 1300m, 1.2 len behind Joliestar with 57kg at $4.20. No Autumn Glow today, and can finish over the top of these.

Flemington: Race 7
No. 5 Oliveanotherday
Tip of The Day

He was outstanding last time in, but the first up performance and victory by OLIVEANOTHERDAY (7) in Group 3 company at Caulfield a fortnight ago suggested he’s only improved this season.

With natural improvement and getting back onto the big track at HQ, bad luck looks to be his only real rival in Saturday’s Group 2 Bobbie Lewis.

Flemington R7 – HKJC World Pool Bobbie Lewis Quality (G2)
Open Race time:
5. Oliveanotherday (7)
J: Harry Coffey 57kg
111×1T: Tom Dabernig
Second run back. First-up after four months favourite; came from midfield and won by 1.5 len in a G3 The Heath 1100 Stakes at Caulfield on August 29 over 1100m in soft going defeating Bridal Waltz with 58kg at $2.30. Previously second-up favourite; scored a big 3.5 len win in a 3yo Bm66 at Caulfield Heath on March 18 over 1200m defeating Hotspur Reale with 60.5kg at $1.40. Big chance to add to the picket fence. Very exciting sprinter who should be taking care of these again.
