France vs Morocco Predictions – Quarter-Finals (Match 1)
As they have all tournament, Les Bleus arrive heavy favourites now on the quarter-finals stage after Kylian Mbappe’s 70th minute penalty strike proved the difference against Paraguay in the Round of 16.
Morocco provides a similar challenge for manager Didier Deschamps, and it’s a familiar matchup with his side having met Morocco at the 2022 World Cup Semi-Finals in a 2-0 win.
Matchup wise, France has more quality in the attacking third and that has only ramped up further as the tournament has progressed with Desire Doue showcasing some of his famous footwork to help set up attacking opportunities.
Morocco is built on stout defence, putting the Netherlands away on penalties in the Round of 32 before last week’s encouraging shutout win to put an end to Canada’s hopes.
This one figures to be a low-scoring arm wrestle, but if it winds up going to extra time, the edge belongs to France with so many classy finishers.
