Furious Stakes Tips & Predictions 2026: Best Bets

We have Furious Stakes tips and predictions for the Group 2 1200m race at Randwick on Saturday.

Furious Stakes odds have Pembrey and Chilly Girl favoured to battle it out, but there could be an upset in the 3YO feature.

Best Bet
#6 Bangkok Hottie @ $11.00

With all the talk about Pembrey and Chilly Girl, punters don’t want to miss out on the value for Bangkok Hottie.

Her sectionals in the Silver Shadow Stakes behind Pembrey were excellent, and she had no favours in the run after being caught wide at the back of the field, so it was an even better run than it looked.

We can’t believe she’s paying double-figure odds, which is why she tops our Furious Stakes predictions. She is fit after having two runs this season, and she has hit the line powerfully in both efforts.

A speed battle could ensue up front, and she’ll be there ready to pounce on them late. Take the odds before punters catch on.

Third-up today and won third-up in the past. First-up ran on from midfield; 3rd of 10 in a Midway Bm72 at this track on August 8 over 1100m, slow going 0.8 len behind Melanite with 55kg at $2.10. Last start came home strongly from last on the turn; 2nd of 10 in the G2 Silver Shadow Stakes at this track on August 22 over 1200m, on a slow track; 2.5 len behind Pembrey carrying 55kg at $6. Sticky gate again and sure to be thereabouts.

Next Best
#2 Pembrey @ $2.15

We aren’t leaving Pembrey out of our Furious Stakes tips. Her win in the Silver Shadow Stakes was classy, and she could have more wins in store this spring.

The Tony Gollan-trained filly will need to do early work to cross from barrier 7, but that didn’t bother her last year, and she’s a jet out of the gates.

Our only concern is if she gets locked in a speed battle with Chilly Girl, but we expect Chilly Girl to sit just off the pace. That could allow Pembrey to get her own way in front, and if they leave her alone, they might not catch up.

The $2.15 odds are about as short as we want to take, but she is a must-have in all Furious Stakes predictions, quinellas, and trifecta bets.

Second run back. First-up after five months won by 2.5 len in the G2 Silver Shadow Stakes at this track on August 22 over 1200m on a soft track defeating Bangkok Hottie carrying 56kg at $4.40. Previously second-up 5th of 8 in the G2 Sweet Embrace Stakes at this track on February 28 over 1200m, slow going 1.5 len behind Spicy Miss with 56.5kg at $2.45. Great chance to make it two in a row. Nice return and can keep the winning momentum going.

Best Roughie
#4 Cherry Bombshell @ $13.00

What on earth happened to Cherry Bombshell last start? She was the first one beaten despite being one of the best-backed runners on the card.

That run was too bad to be true, especially from an Archibald-trained runner, but we expect the team to get her back to her best for Saturday’s run.

The daughter of Lucky Vega looked good last season when winning three races in a row, and if she can get back to that level, she is good enough to figure in the money for the Furious Stakes.

It’s going to take a level of faith to back her at $14, but she is worth the risk.

Second-up. First-up after four months raced on the pace before fading ran last of 10 in the G2 Silver Shadow Stakes at this track on August 22 over 1200m, on a slow track; 7 len behind Pembrey carrying 57kg at $3.80. Previously second-up favourite; scored a big 6 len win at Eagle Farm on February 4 over 1000m defeating High Authority with 56kg at $1.55. Complete mystery first up and deserves another chance.

Same Race Multi

Punters get value odds with our Furious Stakes SRM, which includes our three selected runners and Chilly Girl.

We have Bangkok Hottie Top 2, Pembrey Top 3, Cherry Bombshell Top 5, and Chilly Girl Top 4, and punters get $47 for our four-runner SRM.

There is a lot of risk when taking a four-horse SRM, but we’re confident with our picks. It adds some value to a field of 10 runners, and our four picks are all top chances to run well.
