The 4YO son of Nicconi has six wins from eight starts, and his 1.5-length win at Caulfield last start is an excellent guide for the Bobbie Lewis Quality, and he is expected to run as a short favourite at Group 1 level soon.

Tom Dabernig has a nice type on his hands, and although punters must take short odds with our Bobbie Lewis Quality tips, he looks like a good multi-bet inclusion, and there will be many multis running through him on Saturday.

He’s one of the standout runners on the Flemington card, so take the odds before they get even shorter, and he could start at around $1.50 on race day.

A runner who can’t be overlooked because of the big odds is DESERT LIGHTNING (5), who is a proven Group 1 winner, and he was scratched from the Chautauqua Stakes on Wednesday at Sandown.

This looks like a good target for the eight-time winner, who enjoys running over 1200m, and although yet to race at Flemington, the straight track could be right up his alley with Luke Nolen riding.

He’s a multiple-time Group 1 winner, and he’s often overlooked in betting markets. The $31 odds are generous, and the $4.80 to place is worth including in Bobbie Lewis Quality tips on Saturday.
